Story: Bad Apples
Fandom: Once Upon A Time
Characters: Queen, other characters, Avalon/Leopold
Rating: K+ for now might get worse
Warning: I put all "magic stuff" in one multiverse so you may see strange references to Harry Potter, Labyrinth, and other Disney "magic-verse" such as Tangled. Don't own anything but how I project Queenie's thoughts.
Author's Notes: This has nothing to do with the Regina aka Esmerelda/Graham canon whatsoever. Just another take. It's fun to ship Regina with various royalty :P Also think she was lying when she "admitted" to doing away with Snow White's father, I think she was "covering up". Her name in this verse means "orchard/island of apples" :D And keep in mind this is before she is really wicked, so perhaps she chose another name later...
She clenched her fist around the orb, shattering the glass. It only hurt in her "magical sense" - physically there was no evidence of pain, but for this moment, she wished there was. She dropped the pieces on the floor, grinding them under her feet.
You had to do it, you just had to do it, didn't you - stupid child, didn't give a second's thought to anything!
"What troubles you, mi'lady?" The mirror, always noticing things. Sometimes to an annoying extent.
"Snow White," she spit out the name with venom. "That's who troubles me. She's ruined everything!"
"Yes, mi'lady," the mirror replied automatically.
"Well, hasn't she? She has told her father what she swore she would not tell anyone!"
"Yes, mi'lady, I believe her intentions were -"
"I don't care!" She screamed at the mirror - if she thought it would do any good, she would simply throw something at the mirror, breaking it into several pieces, but the trouble with Mirror was he was bound to every mirror in the castle, breaking one - especially her large elaborate one in her chamber would result in a mess that some helpless servant would have to clean up.
It wouldn't affect Mirror at all.
Her voice lowered to a choked whisper. "I thought I could trust her... and she took my amulet - and she showed it to him!"
For a moment she was terrified of her life, Snow White's father could have her sentenced away as a witch - burned or quiet exile. She had grown used to the old, though cold castle. She didn't want to leave now.
She would talk to Leopold - maybe he would understand. Thinking about making an end of him before he made the end of her hurt... He usually understood such things, even though she had told him of her magic, she hadn't told the extent of it - or of her lost child, or of other things.
They were just beginning to trust each other...
And Snow had definatly ruined it. Couldn't one categorize that as treason? She was the Queen... telling the Queen's secrets was most certainly some sort of crime.
