It's raining.

Big, dark gray clouds hung over the sky as raindrops continue to fall, making its way towards the ground. People are running all over the place to find shade and/or opening their umbrellas to protect themselves from the rain.

It's raining.

Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye can hear the continuous pit-patting of the raindrops as they collide with the glass windows or the ground. She loves the rain. She loves how a single raindrop would fall from the sky and plummet down until it hits the ground, becoming one with the other raindrops. She loves haw the rain would fall, showering the plants and other life forms with water and quenching their thirst. She loves how it reminds her of a special someone regardless if it's good or bad memories.

It's raining.

Her special someone was—

"Lieutenant?"

"Yes, Colonel?" Hawkeye answered, quickly snapping out of her thoughts.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, sir."

"You've been staring at the rain for a few minutes now."

"I apologize, sir."

"Hmm..."

Hawkeye continued to work (though her mind was still lost in thoughts but they're not that far). Colonel Roy Mustang. He was her special someone. She loves how the rain reminds her of his uselessness; that for once, she's useful to him.

It's raining.

The clock chimed, indicating that it was already 5 o'clock. Havoc and the others already left about half an hour ago, leaving the Colonel and his subordinate alone.

"Lieutenant?"

"Yes, sir?"

"I'll be leaving now; I should be getting ready for a date."

"Ok, sir."

"Aren't you leaving yet?"

"I'll just have to finish these paperworks, sir."

"Well then, take care and good bye, Lieutenant."

"Same to you, Colonel."

With that, the Colonel carefully closed the door leaving Hawkeye with the remaining paper work.

"A date huh…"

It's raining.

Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye loves the rain. Besides the fact that it gives life to her surroundings, besides the fact that she feels it's the only time she's needed by him, she loves how the sky would seem to release all the tears that she didn't dare cry out every time her heart breaks into a million pieces when he goes to his so-called "dates".

When Hawkeye finally finished her work, she quickly grabbed her things and headed outside the building and towards the rain. She didn't even bother to open her umbrella. Instead, she let the cool raindrops soak her clothes, feeling the cool water against her skin as she walk towards home.

Looking up the sky and feeling the drops of water pass her face, she whispered,

"It's raining."
