Sig sighed harshly, wondering if he would ever be able to leave the harbor. His first year salmon tendering since he was a teen and look how wonderful it was going. The whole fucking fleet probably knew about June's affair. It wasn't like she tried to keep it quiet, running off with him, getting married in Vegas. Sig had gotten the divorce papers delivered by the local sheriff who was in his own words, "Terribly sorry Mr. Hansen." Now everyone looked at him with pity. It pissed him the hell off! He was fucking sick of it. If she could move on so could he.

"Sig, want to go out for a few drinks?" Jonathan yelled from the docks.

Sig was startled back into reality; John's voice was like a bucket of cold water.

"Why not, not like anyone's going to nag me for it" Sig yelled back.

Sig sedately walked down the wheelhouse stairs before going on deck. Donning his northwestern wind breaker, Sig lit up a cigarette. Smiling at the thought of how much June had hated his smoking, Sig took a big drag. John was yelling at him to hurry up, so Sig skillfully jumped onto the dock next to the man.

"Jesus John! Calm down I'm coming, what was your hurry?"

"Damnit sig theirs a new owner of the Locks, and I can't wait to check her out."

"Well calm the fuck down, not like she's any different than any other girl you pick up"

"Shut up, just hurry up! Edgar and Norman are already there, as well as the rest of the crew of the Cornelia Marie."

"Well at least I can sit and converse with Phil"

"Not if we don't hurry up"

Sig walked into the rowdy bar, a few feet behind John, who immediately led the way towards the other deadliest catch captains. Keith, Phil, Andy, and even Sten were there. Sig smiled slightly, maybe this was just what he needed to get over his cheating ex-wife. Just as Sig sat down he was shadowed by a beautiful woman. She had dark brown eyes that almost looked black in the dark bar room, and inky black hair. She seemed to be of Eskimo descent. Her kind smile entranced Sig, he even missed her asking what he wanted to drink. Thankfully Phil answered for him, saving him from too much embarrassment. As soon as the woman left however the teasing commenced.

"Well look what we have here, Little Siggy has a crush."

"Shut your mouth Keith, You don't' know what you're talking about"

"I didn't know Sig knew how to blush'' Commented Phil, breaking up the fight before it got any worse.

"I don't, I just… it's hot in here is all" Sig exclaimed.

"Sure, Sig whatever you say buddy" Phil chuckled.

Sig sighed, it's not like he had a chance anyway. The woman was beautiful, in a down to earth and homey way. She wasn't pencil thin; no she had really nice luscious curves. Her eyes were warm and kind and her smile was very hard to ignore. But Sig had a lot of baggage and trust issues after his trial with his ex-wife. The woman came back to the table smiling widely carrying all the requested drinks, 6 duck farts, and 6 rum and cokes. She handed each man his drink smiling shyly at Sig and Phil before walking away with the empty trays.

Phil smiled widely, happy that perhaps his friend could find love again. But he chastised himself and shook his head; he didn't know the woman's situation. But if his friend could be happy, he was willing to meddle a little.
