It hurt a little.

To see him walk away solemnly back to wherever...

My eyes stung; I barely won that match.

My Feraligatr was the only one left with he still had Haunter, and Meganium: I quickly took out Haunter with Surf, then here was the tricky one: Meganium, and reflect. Plus, the grass type moves.

Meganium started out with reflect. That goddamned stupid move. My Feraligatr used Ice Fang; Meganium recoiled proving that the type advantage had drastically weakened her. Unfortunately, she was still fighting. Using her sunny day move, she boosted her grass type powers. I commanded Feraligatr to use Ice Fang. However, just before Feraligatr used the move, I heard:

'Solar Beam!'

My heart jumped into my throat.

I pleaded with Feraligatr to dodge but he was too slow. He took the Solar Beam straight on; as the attack winded him, it looked like I had lost however the dirt cloud grew scarce and all is saw was Feraligatr still on his feet. However barely...

He looked very tired, but I was proud. I was about to return him to his pokeball, but he followed on with his attack: lunging forward with incredible speed I never knew he had. I looked on in admiration, as Feraligatr clutch onto Meganium with an Icy grip, and bit down severly.

I was in awe.

"Meganium!" Silver cried. He had become more friendly toward his Pokemon recently and that was one thing I liked: his concern, and synced abilities with his Pokemon, almost like he felt their pain.

Meganium staggered for a bit, stayed on four feet, until... She collapsed...

Silver returnes her to her Pokeball.

'Sorry... Meganium...' he whispered.

He looked on at me, and then turned on his heels.

'See you around... Gold.' Before walking down the path.

That was the first time he had ever said my name.

And it made me feel sad. Like I'd never see him again.

And at that moment, I couldn't stand it. He was my friend. I hated seeing him so upset.

Like he bared the weight of the world on his shoulders.

I chased after him. Down the road. But he was nowhere to be seen.

He... vanished.

But where?

That's when I spotted a man walking down the footpath with a bodybag-

A moving bodybag.
