A/N: For the prompt 'dangerous'.

The whole of the Order of the Phoenix watched as Hermione and Sirius had one of their biggest arguments.

"It's dangerous, Hermione," Sirius stated.

"I know that it's dangerous, Sirius, but what would you have me do? Sit back and do nothing whilst everyone is out there risking their lives?" Hermione asked heatedly.

"That's not what I meant and you know it," he replied.

"How else am I supposed to take it when you say that you want me to stay behind and be the communicator? I am an able fighter and I should be out there with the rest of you."

"I only want to keep you safe, Hermione," Sirius said calmly.

"I know that you want me safe Sirius, but this is war remember? I will be hunted whether I sit here or not," Hermione reminded him.

"It doesn't mean that you have to put yourself in the firing line. Being here is just as important as being on the front line," Sirius tried to stress to her.

"I'm not saying that it's not important. I'm just saying that my skills could be better used elsewhere. How would feel if I try to stop you from fighting? I wouldn't try because I know that you wouldn't want to be anywhere else but in the thick of it."

Sirius had nothing to say. Hermione was right on that one. She would never try and stop him from fighting on the front line, and yet he was asking her to when he knew that she wanted to fight to.

Walking up to him she cupped his cheek.

"I know you're only doing this because you care, but you can't protect everyone you love, Sirius," Hermione said softly.

"I know," he sighed.
