There was just something Sayaka couldn't resist about Ishimaru. Just being around him made her feel so….. giddy. She would always laugh at his jokes, smile and hug him every once in a while, and just plainly tell him how adorable he was. But he could just not get the clue that she liked him.
It wasn't that secretive either. She guessed Junko must've found out and BOOM! gossip spread. Every time someone asked him about her, he would would always say she was swell and kind, but never anything else and that hurt her. And he always said that in front of her, making her have to fake smile. It was getting tiring really, having to pretend everything was okay while he broke her heart little by little. So she decided to step up her game.
Walking around the school, it seemed that today was the day when she couldn't find him. She had just asked Mondo and Chihiro where he was and they said they hadn't seen him at all that day. How unusual. Maybe he was sick? Well, how wonderful for her. Angry, she walked down the hall to make her way towards the library. Seeing some freshman run past her, she yelled out after him, telling him to stop. Now that had gotten her attention.
She really did like him. But there was nothing she could do about. Walking in the library, she managed to spot him with his face buried deep in a book. Smiling, she rushed over to him and sat down. "Where'd you been Kiyotaka-kun? I've been looking all over for you."
He looked up at her and gave her a weird look. Sayaka just continued to smile as he, once again, buried his face in the book. "I've been studying."
"—Oh." Was all she could mutter out. And there she sat next to him, seeing him read the book and, occasionally, scribbling stuff onto his journal. The bell rang and neither got up. They both had a free period and there was nothing really to do, except homework, but Sayaka was waaay over that since she had something more important to do that day.
"So Kiyotaka-kun, I was thinking—"
"Shusssssh."
Sayaka blinked. Did he just shush her? Her patience finally broke and she got up, pounding the table while she did so. Ignoring the other people shushing her, she stormed out of the library and made her way to the field. There, she sat down and tried to calm herself down. She shouldn't have done that. Why did she do that? She shouldn't have let her emotions take over her. Sighing, she looked up to the sky when she saw Ishimaru standing there. "Are you alright Maizono-san?"
"Kiyotaka-kun, I've asked to to call me Sayaka. It's okay." She replied with a smile.
"Alright Mai—Sayaka-san."
Giggling, she got up and gave him a hug. "You know I love you, right Kiyotaka-kun?"
"Of course! Friends are supposed to love each other!"
"No… not like that. I like you as, more then a friend."
Letting go, she got on her tiptoes and kissed him-well, just one of his lips. She tugged on it for a bit before pulling back, trying her best to not look at him. She turned and started to walk away when she felt him grab her hand. "Wait, Sayaka-san. I—i love you too."
