"Mama, where is he? He's always here on time," Victoire said desperately, scouring the smoggy platform for a sign of Teddy.

"Victoire, darling, he's already done with Hogwarts, you know that," Fleur repeated for what seemed like the twentieth time. She sighed and turned to Louis, making sure he had everything he needed before checking on Dominique.

"Mama, I know, but he said he'd see me off! He promised," she continued, whining while searching fruitlessly.

Victoire harrumphed sadly, not finding Teddy anywhere on the platform. She began to load her trunk onto the train dejectedly when a voice from behind her whispered, "Looking for someone," while covering her eyes with soft hands.

"Teddy!" she exclaimed, spinning around to face him. He was grinning broadly, moving his hands so they rested on the back of her neck, pulling Victoire in for a kiss.

"Need some help with this?" he muttered, placing a hand on her trunk.

"Teddy, you don't have to—" she started, but cut herself off as she watched Teddy lift her trunk easily into the train.

"So, thought I wouldn't show, did you? Or did you think I'd be running later than usual?" Teddy questioned playfully, raising an eyebrow.

"I didn't doubt you, Teddy. It's just… you're usually so punctual, and I didn't… I thought maybe you'd forgotten."

"Tell me, Vic. How could I ever forget about you?" he asked, taking her hand and hopping onto the scarlet steam engine.

Teddy carried Victoire's trunk effortlessly down the narrow hall. They passed compartment after compartment full of people, finding no room until the very end of the train. Teddy opened the door for her and, placing the trunk on the shelf, took Victoire's hand saying, "Have a wonderful term, Vic. Write me, alright?" he asked.

Victoire couldn't do anything but nod as she kissed Teddy softly. A loud whistle of steam poured out of the train, signaling its departure. "You need to go," she whispered in Teddy's ear. He nodded and left the compartment.

Victoire vaguely wondered how her first term without Teddy would be, but she was distracted from her thoughts by her friends entering the compartment. Still dwelling on Teddy, Victoire felt the train advance, leaving him and her parents behind.
