Disclaimer: I own nothing. If I did I wouldn't be on
It wasn't supposed to end up that way.
We were young, foolish.
She was an accident; we didn't think I would get pregnant. We didn't really know much back then, except that we were in love. Or at least we thought at the time.
When she was born we had to run away. We knew that our parents would kill us, and they would start fighting. Then the whole town would start fighting and we didn't want to get into any of that. We figured it would be better to fake our deaths, then come back later as different people.
And so we did.
We set the trial, and the town fell for it. We fled into the woods. We figured we could live on the outskirts by the base of the large mountain, not with the town but not in the gods' territory either.
But we had to get food eventually, and we were no good at catching fish. So we wandered into the forest, hoping we would find something edible.
What we found was entirely different. We found Moro, a goddess of the forest.
She was strong and beautiful, and she was angry.
We knew that we would die if we tried to live there for much longer, but we knew we couldn't make the trip to the next town with a newborn baby. And so we had to make a quick decision.
All three of us die in this forest, or abandon our child and give her a chance at life.
Taking a chance sounded better than merely giving up and dieing, no matter how small of a chance that was.
So we pleaded with the goddess, to let our child live and be free.
She killed us, but she spared our child.
Our little San grew up as a wolf, and we got to rest. Forever.
And none that story bothered us. We knew our baby was in good hands and that she would be taken care of. Our families had moved on and prospered. Everything was how it should have been.
But now she was trying to find us. Moro passed on, and her sons left to claim territory of their own. The forest had been destroyed, along with the town.
She had nothing left there, and so I can understand why she left. But of all the memories for her to cling to, she had to choose ours.
Good? Bad? Interesting at least? Please leave a reveiw, it only takes a few seconds and boosts my confidence :) Plus I need plenty of critiques, I'm going to be trying out at a school of the arts soon, so I need to be at the top of my game!
