By the time Pam Beesley had gotten out to the truck, Roy was in there waiting. The motor was running by the time she opened the door handle.

"Why did you put the motor on?", she said as she climbed into the warm car.

"Oh, just to warm up the car," Roy replied, "It's freezing outside!"

Indeed it was freezing. It was so cold, in fact, that Pam wore two sweaters to work that day and put on a coat to go outside. It was the usual, beginning of January day in the office. Vacations were over. People were tired. And Scranton was cold. Roy flipped around in his seat as he began to back up the truck. Pam sighed, and looked down towards her feet. Nothing really specific, but the floorboard. The empty wrappers, the bridal magazines, and the waded - up tissues. As gross as it was, she was so used to this kind of life, she didn't even think of it anymore. Furthermore, Roy's terrible ability to drive in reverse got her attention, and not the floorboard.

"Ah...friggen' snow," he said under his breath. Pam pursed her lips in irritation,

"You really should put the chains on the tires"

"Chain - tires are the biggest, waste of money I've ever seen. All they do is make noise." Pam had to agree. She could always hear them clunking around in the bed of the truck whenever she and Roy hit a rough patch. The motor was grumbling uncomtroblably. Pam was surprised the truck didn't collapse right then and there. Roy stopped the car, mumbling,

"Fine, fine. I'll put on the chains"

"Yeah, told you so"
Pam was usually right about these kind of things.

As Roy was fumbling with the tires, Pam looked out the window to see Jim backing out of his space. He began to drive out of the Dunder Mifflin parking lot, before stopping short and looking towards the staring Pam. He smiled and wave as he drove along.

And he had his chains on his tire.

Angela had spent maybe thirty minutes on a thrown together meal. Andy was coming over to her house for the first time. She didn't want to be too fancy, but presentable. She sat down at the well - prepared table, thinking. She looked up at the Grandfather clock, which had just chimed 6:00. Andy wasn't due over until 7:00, but she wanted some time to prepare.

She couldn't do this.

She couldn't look him in the eye and tell him she loved him.

So, instead, what Angela wound up doing is just pretending before Andy got to their date. She would arrive early, and use all her might to replace Andy's face...with Dwight's.
As she thought about this method in her head, Angela's lip quivered as she swallowed down a tear. She took a deep breath, before continuing on with her mission.

Make Andy into Dwight.

She closed her eyes. Angela was in a peaceful place, as her head began to flood with the memories of yore. She heard the Grandfather clock chime one more time, and before she knew it, the time tread 6:30.

Angela still couldn't do it. She knew what she was going to do. Stand up, call Andy, and tell him the date was cancelled.
But he was so happy, she couldn't do that. She couldn't break another man's heart so cruelly again.
Instead, Angela decided on following the "Rear Window." Before she could stop herself, she heard her voice echo as she greeted him warmly.

"Hello, Dwight."
