Bzzzzz bzzzz bzzzz
Mitchie's phone buzzed in her pocket while she was in the middle of hair and make-up, preparing for her show that night. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out her phone and noticed it was a video from Alex. Mitchie's face broke out in a grin as her wife's name came across her screen. Mitchie had been touring for about 2 months now, and she hadn't gotten to see Alex or their daughter, Hayley, since she had left. Unlocking her phone Mitchie opened the text from Alex.
Alex: So, Hayley came running downstairs with her play guitar saying she could be "just like momma on stage" and put on a little show for me. Yep... JUST like you ;) :P 3
Mitchie hit play on the video and right away her 4 year old daughter could be seen on screen, bringing a huge smile to her face.
"Okay, show me."
Alex's voice sent butterflies flying around Mitchie's stomach. She missed her family and hated that she had to be away from them for so long.
"What song do you want to do?"
"Don't Forget!" Hayley exclaimed, a huge smile planted on her face
Mitchie smiled wide at the mention of her old song, Hayley always loved hearing Mitchie's old songs from when she was a teenager.
"Okay, just a second and I'll put it on." Alex told her, and there was some shuffling before the music began to play, and Hayley "played" her guitar as the music played.
A face eating smile was spread across Mitchie's face the entire time she was watching the video, watching her daughter trying her best to be just like her.
The song was almost over and Hayley knew that this was the part where Mitchie usually did her guitar hair flip, so with as much force as she could she tilted her head and did her best to imitate Mitchie's hair flip, but she put a little too much force into it and ended up losing her footing, sending herself falling forward to the ground.
"Hayley, you okay?!" Alex exclaimed, worried her daughter may have hit her face on the guitar when she fell. But only giggles came from the little girl.
" I falled." Hayley giggled.
"Yeah, momma's done that on stage a few times on stage too." Alex giggled, and the video quickly came to an end.
By the end of the video Mitchie's smile was almost reaching her eyes, and she couldn't help but let out a little laugh at Alex's last comment. After saving the video to her phone, Mitchie quickly typed out a reply to Alex.
Mitchie: Haha, what can I say? She learned from the best :P Tell her I thought she was AMAZING and I love her and I miss both of you so so much! 3 I promise I'll skype with you guys tomorrow, maybe she could give me an encore performance :P
After sending the text, it was time for Mitchie to get in place to head on stage. And when the show was over, Mitchie headed back onto her tour bus and laid in her bunk, watching the adorable video of her daughter trying her best to be her momma.
"Yep, just like me." Mitchie laughed to herself.
So this was just a quick drabble I put together in like, 10 minutes haha. Just thought I'd give my readers a lil something to let them know I'm alive and don't worry, I'm hoping to start work on the next chapter of Words Between Us and the Life With Ari one-shot soon!.
Love y'all
