Title: She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not

Chapter 1: Default Chapter

A/N: Long story short, life got busy. I got married, had children, moved several times, changed jobs several times as well. After much debate it was decided that it would be better if I quit my job and became a stay at home mom, Daycare is expensive, and I wasn't breaking even in the slightest. I lost the notebook I had this story hand written in, it was already finished I just had to type it out, but since its lost I must start over…. Also, my old laptop is no more, so I lost all my saved files, ideas, notes etc. for all my stories. Since I've had to reread it on here I realized how bad it was, then again I wrote this when I was 14, so, yes, expect some changes. Hopefully I can improve this because it hurt me reading it….

So anyways, just a heads up. I haven't watched sailor moon in a very long time, so there will be discrepancies and such. I took a lot of creative freedoms with they series of events, personalities and ages etc. etc. etc.

"Oh Darien," said Serena. "This was such a wonderful idea!" She and Darien were watching the sun set, sitting in a small boat in the middle of the pond at the park. It was the first real date they had been able to have in weeks. After a wonderful picnic, Darien had rowed them out to watch as the sky changed colors. As of late, Darien has been busy with school and his part time job, while she well, besides trying not to flunk school being Sailor Moon wasn't a walk in the park either. Their schedules just didn't sync up to allow mutual free time. They were cuddled together with their arms around each other, taking in the changing colors of the sky as the sun bid the earth goodnight and welcomed the moon. Suddenly, they were startled by loud ringing, so much so that in their fright, they made the boat rock violently. Darien reached out for Serena before her clumsiness decided to show but was too late . . . SPLAAASH! The boat holding them both overturned, and everything faded away.

Serena opened her eyes to find herself in bed, sunshine streamed through her window. The phone ringing madly on her bedside table. Annoyed and more than a bit disappointed that it had been all a dream, and that said dream had been interrupted, she picked up the receiver to end its excessive noise. The voice on the other end, however, completely changed her mood and instantly brightened her morning all at once.

"Good morning, rise and shine, my little meatball head!"

"Hmm, good morning," replied Serena with a yawn.

"Did you sleep well?" asked Darien.

"Uh-huh, I was having the most wonderful dream until it ended most abruptly. Knowing it is you calling me this morning however makes it worth it." Said Serena.

"Well, how about I make it up to you even more by taking you out for breakfast and then I drop you off at school?" Darien suggested

"That would be wonderful! I'll actually be early for once." exclaimed Serena "So meet you in 30?"

"Well actually, I'm on my way as we speak so just meet me outside once you're ready. It won't take me long to get there." said Darien into his mobile. He hadn't been able to see her all weekend and dare he say he missed her immensely. Since he couldn't wait until this afternoon to pick her up from school and finally see her, he had decided to surprise her that morning.

"Of course, it won't take me long to get ready, I'll be down in a couple of minutes." With quick goodbyes, she hung up and ran to her closet. 'Hmm... What did I do with my school uniform? Aha! Here it is, now I have to hurry.' She looked at her Luna look alike clock.

6:30 am

"Oh my gosh, I have to get down there before my dad sees him outside and starts interrogating him! Again!"

Flashback

Darien walked to the front door of his girlfriend's house and rung the doorbell. Usually they would meet somewhere for their dates but this time he wanted to pick her up from her house, as a proper date should. Besides, he didn't want to feel like they were hiding their relationship from everyone and he wanted her family to know about him as he planned to be a part of Serena's life for a very long time. Forever, if he had any say in it, but that was a discussion with her parents at a much later date, he didn't want to freak them out considering she's only 15 at this time.

"Hello sir, I'm here to pick up Serena. I'm Darien." He bowed respectfully at Serena's father when the door was opened

"Oh, so you're Darien, the boyfriend I've heard so much about. Come in, come in, take a seat." He was led into a cozy living room and took a seat on the loveseat. " So how long have you and my daughter been going out? What are your intentions towards my daughter? Better yet, how old are you? " Asked Serena's father.

Darien just sat on the couch sweat dropping. "Uhhh... " He had not been prepared for so many questions at once.

End Flashback

'Daddy still isn't too happy about me dating, especially someone already in high school, but seeing how happy I have been, he has let it go.' For now, at least. Good thing that day only her father had been home. It could have been worse if her mother and brother had been there as well. 'Let's not repeat that situation, ever.' she thought to herself as she ran down the stairs.

"Well aren't you up early today, maybe now you can eat breakfast without rushing out screaming." Said her mother teasingly. It was the first time her daughter had gotten out of bed early, usually she was in such a rush she would leave without eating. Seems that boyfriend of hers was a good influence.

"Not today mother, Darien is waiting for me outside and he's going to take me out for breakfast before he drops me off at school" answered Serena as she made her way past the dining room and to the front door.

"Your imaginary boyfriend again?" said her annoying little brother. He thought his parents were so gullible, who in their right mind would want to date his ditzy sister?

"Believe it or not, he's real!" she said before angrily closing the front door on her way out. Her little brother was so annoying. She took a deep breath to let go of her anger, determined not to let her brother ruin her good mood this morning.

Outside, Darien was already by the gate, waiting patiently with a rose in one hand. She looked at him suspiciously and his smile just widened. She didn't know what had brought this morning visit on, but she had missed him so much this past weekend, not having been able to see him as usual. Usual she would have to wait until after school to see him, but she would look a gift horse in the mouth. She quickly walked towards him with a big smile plastered on her face. She just couldn't help herself. Upon seeing her approach Darien walked over to the passenger side, gave her the rose and opened the passenger door to his car for her. Just as she was about to ask about the surprise morning visit, he twirled her into his arms and gave her a sweet, warm kiss on her lips. Surprised, it took her a while to react but quickly recovered and kissed him back with just as much eagerness. After what seemed like an eternity but was only a minute or so, they reluctantly broke apart. Serena slid into the awaiting car, bringing the rose to her nose with the purpose of taking a whiff of its sweet scent while at the same time trying to hide the blush on her cheeks. Questions forgotten she watched Darien quickly walked around to the driver's side, getting in and drove off to get her the breakfast he had promised.

Little did they know that they were not alone. Across the street, hidden under the shadow of a tree, someone had been watching and was now slowly walking away.
