Here's a follow up to 'To My Daddy'
Don't own anything you recognize!
Tell me what you think⦠There will be another story called 'Daddy's Day' Which you will get the idea of after reading this!
Dear Daddy,
I know I usually write on Christmas Eve and right now it's not but there's just some things I have to say to you. So, I hope your not to busy right now.
I sit here writing you another letter. Like so many others times since I was old enough to write. Yet, this time there is something on my mind. I need your held, you see. This problem's name is school. Kids don't seem to understand what my life seems to be like.
You see, next week is Daddy Day in class. All the kids bring there Dad's and they tell them about them. I can't really bring my dad you see, for the simple fact that your not here. Once again, I know it's not your fault. I still don't blame you.
Yet still, I wish you could be there for me next week. I am gathering my courage and I am going to go to the front of the room and talk about you. Everything I know, most of which I learned from Momma, Ray, Madison, and even Susie. So that's that.
Speaking of which, Susie told me what you did for her and Maddie. That was very nice, Daddy. Momma says I am a lot like you, that I put others before myself. I hope so. I would love to be like you.
Ray tells me you were amazing. You were always there for him and Momma. You watched out for them even it meant that you had to sacrifice something your self.
Just thought you should know; I want to be a CSI. That worries Momma. Ray's just got out of school to be a police man and both of us wanting to follow into law enforcement frightens her a bit. But, could you really blame her for being frightened?
I am also in great care in case you were worried. Momma is the best and she always watches out for me. Ray is the best big brother in the whole world and he's always here to protect me. I then have Eric, Natalia, Ryan, Calliegh, and Alexx. They wouldn't dream of letting anything happen to me. That reminds me, cook-out at Eric and Natalia's house. I will tell you all about it afterwards.
Well, Momma's calling me down because we have to go now. I will write again after Daddy's Day and tell you all about the cook-out and the event!
I love you forever---
Your Daughter, Lorene Heather Caine
