Italics: Telepathic conversation

The TARDIS has a secret that even the Doctor doesn't know.

She wasn't prone to keeping secrets from her thief, especially ones that would change his future. One day he would be mad at her for keeping something so big from him but eventually he would thank her.

Once upon a time a little girl had knocked on the door of a dusty old blue box in the middle of nowhere. For the first time ever, the TARDIS willingly opened the door and let the little girl in. She seemed so out of place and different, and definitely didn't belong on this planet. Her golden hair reminded the TARDIS of a new born sun, her eyes so blue that they didn't seem real and there wasn't even a hint of fear on her face. She looked human, but the TARDIS knew she was much more. As she walked further into the console room, the girl's eyes widened at the size of the interior. The blue box was obviously bigger on the inside.

"Hello." she sent a message to the little girl mentally.

The Doctor wouldn't approve of her doing this but she knew this girl was special and one day the Doctor would need her. For now she would just be her little big secret.

The girl jumped slightly at the intruder in her head. She looked like a twelve year old human girl, her eyes so young, but The TARDIS knew that behind those eyes was one of the biggest secrets in the universe.

"Who was that?" The girl said out loud, looking around.

"My name is Sexy, what's your name?" The TARDIS asked her while sending images to the little girl, letting her know she was the blue box.

After a few moments the little girl straightened her dress and sighed to herself.

"I don't know." She whispered, while silent tears ran down her face.

"Don't worry my golden child. It's okay to be afraid. Your fear will make you stronger and one day you will need all that strength. Now come, follow my lights." The TARDIS told the little girl, lighting a path to her new room.

After a few weeks of endless stories of a mad man in a blue box, The TARDIS knew that keeping her golden child here would be dangerous. The Doctor had no idea that he had been rooming with a nameless little girl but it was only a matter of time before he did. He was a time lord after all, and he always figured everything out, even the impossible. However, the TARDIS felt as if it was her duty to protect this little girl and watch over her, no matter what happened.

I know it's short but I wanted to start the story off with a little bit of background. The first chapter will introduce my lovely character. Thanks for reading! Please review and let me know what you think! Thx(:
