OK, I don't know anything-this idea suddenly popped into my head, I will update this story, and my other story soon!

Kate's POV

I sat on my bed, trying to listen to the hushed voices of my parents, right in the next room. I sighed. I couldn't hear anything. I got up, gazing at my desk for a second. There was a photo with the words 'Best Friends Forever' engraved on the bottom. In the picture, it wasn't Claire or any other girl from my popular group, but it was of Lizzie, Gordo, Miranda, and I. Gordo is right in the middle, with the rest of us hugging around him. I remember when it was taken. It was the summer of fifth grade, right before I was going to camp. Right before I met Claire and right before I got popular and dumped my old friends. My eyes fogged up as I shook off the thought. I still heard my parents talking, so I decided that I'd see what exactly they were talking about. I got up, really slowly and tip-toed to their room right across the hall.
"Tom, we have to tell her. We can't keep this from her forever." I heard my mom's voice flow out. I peeked in the slightly cracked door. "Well, how are we going to tell her, Rebecca? Just say, 'Kate honey, you have a long lost sister that we had to give up because we couldn't afford to take care of you both'? Let's see how easy that will be." Kate slightly gasped, causing her parents to turn their attention to the door. I slowly backed away from the door, putting my hand to my mouth, as my dad ran after me. I started to run, tears starting to stream down my cheeks. "Kate, wait! Can we please just all sit down and have a nice talk, and work all this out?" my mom touched my hand, trying to get me to stop. I looked into her eyes. She looked so hurt and guilty. I thought hard and long, and I decided to obey.
We all sat down in the living room, my mom and dad on the couch, I settled into the easy chair right across from them. "Katelyn, honey, where would you like us to start?" my mom looked very uneasily at my dad.
"Well, it started 12 years ago, when you were three. Your mom got pregnant with another girl, but we weren't as successful in our business as we are now. We couldn't afford to take care of you both. So we decided to give her up for adoption." I sat back, taking in everything that I had heard. My mom broke in, telling me more. "We wanted to tell you, but we thought we should wait until you were older. But, we got cut short because she contacted us yesterday. She said she wanted to meet her real parents, because she still knew we were alive. So, we decided to tell you sooner than planned, so we could all meet." My mom let me, again, take in everything. There were all these questions that came into my head, and I highly desired for them to be answered. "What is her name?" I sat calmly, as my parents smiled. I'm guessing they were glad that I wasn't pitching a fit, sobbing, and everything that I usually do. But I decided to be mature about this. "Her name is Melina." My dad took a handkerchief from his pocket to wipe his face, much like he does when he's nervous. "We gave her to a family, the Biancos, she is 12 years old, and she still lives in this very town."
I got up, and went upstairs. Oh, how much a 15-year-old's life can change. I was going to meet the sister I never knew I had, I found out my parents had lied to me all 15 years of my life, and-surprise-I was getting a stress zit. How much worse could my life get?

Really, what else could happen? Well, we'll have to see! R/R!! :-D
