I'm angsting because college decisions are coming next week and my parents are barking at me about 'what if...?' Therefore, I wrote an angsty poem about the Uchiha brothers because abusing them is my favorite pass time.

NOTE: the narrator is Itachi (because, let's face it, he's the more articulate one of the two) and the point of the x's is so that there is a separation of my stanzas.

Warning: Incest

Disclaimer: I do not own the characters.

A Moment, Only a Moment

The hesitation is long and unrelenting.

His will is cold and never ending.

He sees his means,

He sees his ends,

And his mission needs no mending.

x

The pale skin that looks like his own;

The little thoughts he had carefully sown:

Dance in those eyes,

Those eyes like his.

From below comes a slow, sleepy moan.

x

Long fingers tangle in midnight hair.

Pale lips draw in the wintry air.

So close to them:

He can taste them:

The petals that belong to the second heir.

x

He captures all of it: all the physicality;

Brutalizing it with his selfish mentality.

And he never lets go:

Nor intends to release

His counterpart, his point of frailty.

x

"Brother, my brother,

My one, my other,"

He licks the tears:

He calms the fears:

"We only need each other."

If you're interested, the song I listened to while writing this was "Running up the hill" by Placebo.

Also, I actually prefer to write poetry, even though I'm sure it's not evident in this piece considering I have no care other than the majority of words should rhyme (is that run-on?). I actually want to try to get into Shakespearean Sonnets, but I have issues counting syllables of all things. It will be fun though, haha.
