It's been over a year since I finished "Pride and Joy." It's about time to start the sequel. Hope you guys are still interested. I know it's short, but it's to set it all up. I'll try to get the first chapter done soon.

Prologue – One Word
--
"PJ!" Kris' voice was stern, her eyebrows furrowed. The little boy stopped quickly and glanced over his shoulder. He smirked at his mother, before spinning back around and continuing his destructive path around their apartment.
Kris sighed loudly, groaning under her breath. Hearing her frustration, Junior popped his head around the corner. "Babe?"
"Get your son," she growled, flopping down on the couch dejectedly. Junior's gaze drifted around the room, confusion seeping into his expression. As if on cue, Kris' hand lifted over the top of the couch, pointing at their bedroom.
Junior mumbled a 'thank you,' pausing at the couch to plant a soft kiss on his girlfriend's forehead. Moving down the hall, he peeked in his bedroom, looking around carefully. "PJ?"
Hearing his name, a small body projected itself from the closest, screaming wildly and landing at Junior's feet. The older man shook his head, chuckling softly. "There you are… You've got Momma all worn out."
PJ giggled mischievously, looking up at Junior with the most innocent look a four-year old could muster. "Come on," Junior smiled, scooping the little boy up in his arms. "Let's go get ready for bed and surprise Momma."

Junior settled down on the couch next to Kris, putting an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close to him.
"Got him settled in?" she murmured.
Junior nodded. "Yep…" He paused, watching his girlfriend close her eyes and relax in his arms. He smiled to himself. "You as tired as I feel?"
Kris grumbled a bit. "What do you think?"
Chuckling softly, he bent down to kiss the top of her head. "Time for bed, Kris." Her eyes fluttered open to look at the clock.
"But it's only eight o'clock," she complained quietly.
"True…" Junior nodded slowly. "But PJ will be up at the crack of dawn, which means we'll be up at the crack of dawn…"
Kris groaned, shifting her weight to bury her face in her boyfriend's chest. "I know…"
He grinned, running his free hand through her hair. "Just be glad there's only one of them running around here."
Kris laughed a bit, shaking her head. "That's for sure."
"Come on." Junior pried himself away from her reluctantly, pulling the both of them to their feet. "Bed." She mumbled a soft complaint, but followed him to their bedroom.
