Heartache
After losing his wife in a car crash, Gohan goes into deep depression. It goes from sorrow to suicidal.
Gohan didn't imagine what could have happened today. He didn't expect it. If he had, there would have been too many things he would have said to Videl. Now all he was left with was heartache. He wished he had said 'I love you' more.
Alas, it was too late. All of it had changed in a single morning. He wished it hadn't happened so fast! If only.
"If only…" he mourned in reality as the thoughts hit him hard. Harder then a brick wall.
The day she had died was a regular one. A relaxing pancake breakfast and a dose of hot coffee. She had needed to go to work, she said. She would be back later, she said. Gohan had obviously let her go.
There wasn't any need to go with her. Any suspicion. He hadn't even said I love you, that morning.
If only he had.
During her drive to work, Videl had not been looking at where she was going and a truck driver had crushed her as he sped on red. Her motorcycle was no match for the monstrous truck.
When word get out to Gohan he was devastated. He was so angry that in a fit of rage and despair he had released his wrath. He killed the truck driver in Super Saiyan 4.
He had finally achieved it.
But what was it worth if he was all alone?
Piccolo had decided to drop by Gohan's house out of a feeling of complete concern. He had been worried about Gohan's feelings ever since Gohan's wife died
When Piccolo had entered the house it was abandoned and a wreck. All the drawers and linking items to Videl were scattered across the floor.
Piccolo was now very concerned so he decided to find Gohan's Ki. And he found a certain Ki, a mind-boggling one. The Ki was so powerful it made Piccolo quiver in fear.
Piccolo rushed to the scene as quick as he could. When Piccolo had gotten to the scene, he was shocked to find his (former?)student training.
Piccolo knew Gohan had quit training. So why start again now? He must want to take his mind off of the horrid event. It was understandable.
'He's Super Saiyan 4.' Piccolo finally realized with wide eyes.
"Gohan..?" he finally asks the shadowing figure in the night. The figure makes no movement.
"What?" came the irritated reply, "Can't you see I'm busy?" the words were spoken a little harsher this time. It made Piccolo worry.
The tone made Piccolo wince. "It's me, Piccolo." Piccolo's gruff voice stated. "I was wondering how you were doing."
"Fine."
Piccolo raised a brow at the response, "Fine? Gohan, you haven't trained in months and you wife just died-"
"You don't think I know that?" an angry voice accused in front of Gohan, "I know it all. Don't act like I'm a child, Piccolo."
The tone had surprised Piccolo beyond belief. Gohan was never that angry. Never. "Gohan, your not alright."
No response.
Piccolo had his eyes closed as he waited for a response. He opened his eyes to see no Gohan in sight. "Damn it."
Gohan grabbed a piece of rope he thought would be sufficient enough for the suicide. After all, he had nothing left to live for.
"Guess my story career goes down the drain. Damn it, Ichigo, what would you have done? You always stayed composed, even in front of Aizen in my novel Be A Good Strawberry." a pause from sadness to anger, "GOD DAMN IT!" Gohan kicked over a stool.
"Fuck. Let's get this over with." Gohan said with a sad sigh.
The rope was now tightly secured around Gohan's neck as he stood on a stool. He kicked the stool and felt all the pressure on his neck.
Gohan was dead.
