She sat in the silver moonlight,

On a misty night of June,

The sky was dark and the stars were bright,

By the blue lagoon.

By chance she met her shining knight,

A gentleman kind and brave,

Their love was like wings in flight,

From her misery was she saved.

At evening they would wander far,

Wherever the winds would fly,

And gaze at the shining stars,

And promise to ne'er say bye.

The breeze blew from the mountains high,

The birds sang their joyful tunes,

They talked until the night was nigh,

By the blue lagoon.

Wand met wand and buildings fell,

The castle under assault,

All was flash after flash of spells,

Until all slowed to halt.

The silence echoed with cease of fight,

No birds had breathed a breath,

For in the pale morning light,

It lit the great knight's death.

And to this day she walks alone,

Along the barren shores,

To hope to hear his dulcet tones,

Or see him evermore.

But life is a painful burn,

Like the sun waiting for the moon,

And knowing he'll never return,

She cries to the blue lagoon.
