A/n: This was part of a challenge with Rogue-Slayer13 and C. E. Hobbit based off an inside joke from The Evolution Revolution. The challenge was, write about Remy's week-long boy scout experience in under 300 words.

Scout's Honor

By Jez / Evo-Obsessed

"Scout's honor," Remy said, holding up his hand.

"Yeah, I'm gonna trust that coming from you," Ghost said sarcastically.

"I was too a boy scout…for a week," Gambit defended himself

It was true, he wasn't just making it up to be funny. When he was eight years old he was in the boy scouts for a week, and he had to admit, it was lots of fun. At the beginning of every meeting-- of which there were 6 this week, it was a day camp week--he managed to fake his way through the opening ceremonies and citations of pledges and such. On the first day he learned to tie a few knots, which he found immensely boring, but not all together pointless or as useless skill. In fact he could think of quite a few uses for knots, really strong knots. The second day he got to make a fire…which was a bad idea. He really liked that day, but the leaders decided it was better for him to practice his knots a little more. On the third day he was forced to do trust exercises during which no one actually trusted him to do anything and his partner refused to comply on the grounds that Remy was "too shifty." On the fourth day little Remy LeBeau was allowed near the fires again because on that day they were cooking. He made a mean gumbo which everyone really enjoyed and on that day everyone seemed to lighten up a little around this mischievous, mysterious boy. On the fifth day was the overnight camp night, and it was also Remy's last day because he was caught gambling and hustling many boys out of everything they had brought along with them.

"Like I said, not trusting any scout's honor coming from you."
