I was waddling along. Minding my own little raccoon business. I was hungry. I was looking for another piece of food. A piece of fruit? No, I was bored with fruit. I wanted something different. Something more interesting.
And there I saw it. A bird. A brown bird with a rusty red tail, lying helpless on the leaves. I knew this was my chance. He snapped at me and flared his wings, but I was too smart for that. He couldn't trick me. I grabbed him.
He struggled, but I was winning. I dragged him towards the water. Then, suddenly, he grabbed me with his talons.
Then I couldn't move. I couldn't move at all. I felt very tired and dazed. Then, I snapped out of it. I turned back to the bird.
But the bird wasn't a bird anymore! He was turning into… me! Within a few seconds, he looked just like me.
Startled, I reared back. Then I was outta there.
I wasn't going to stick around. I knew something was up. Birds are not supposed to turn into raccoons. And birds that are supposed to be lunch are not supposed to turn into me.
You're the expert. You're a human, for crying out loud. You should know what happened there. So tell me.
What's going on?
