Anakin Skywalker. Hero with no fear. Jedi Knight. Powerful, brave, and caring. She should have known the end was coming. The days were too happy. The nights were too perfect to have lasted long. How did it end? Crashing upon her like a hurricane. Without warning, without anything. The end was as fast as the beginning. Their perfect world left as fast as it had come.

It made not a single difference. Not now. Not ever. She was dead. And so was he. Anakin Skywalker was dead. Dead to his friends and family, not that he had much family anymore. He was a useless toy. A toy that its master had thrown aside. He was not the only criminal in this madness. He was not the only slave in the cruel cold galaxy. Of all those innocents he killed. And all those he stole innocence from there was something that was more tragic than any of their pain.

He had tried so hard not to let the pain in. he had tried so hard not to feel.

Always a slave to something…

What was wrong with the system? He had forged a heart in a furnace of fire. It was love that was his undoing. How could this be.

If love was a weakness, why did he long for it so. And not any love. Her love. The love of his angel the only woman who understood the depth of her soul.

She was dead. A bitter word. A word like poison to his soul. Like a flaming sword into his heart. And he had killed her. The woman who was his light and his love and his hope all together. He had reached out his hand and strangled that precious soul. Who had not harmed him? She was indeed the first.

Her son was the one standing in front of him. Her son. He was indeed her son. Even now, the empty soul of Anakin Skywalker reached out and called him her son. Even if he was Anakin Skywalkers son. He was and always would be her son.

Te darkness pulled and tugged into his mind calling him his name. He pushed it away. Was he to make the same mistake twice? No. Never was he to make the same mistake. She was dead. She was dead and gone, but her son, her life incarnate, he still lived.

It was with this thought that he threw the master down the long dark tunnel, and felt his life fly from him.

You were right… tell your sister you were right.
