You sighed as you pounded your head against your desk, "I…hate…my…life."
"What's the matter?" A voice asked.
"Its tomorrow is the Valentines Day dance and I don't have a date. The world hates me."
"Ah, you're one of those kinds of girls." He chuckled.
You looked up to glare and saw the man you had been crushing on! It was that punk kid Arthur!
"W-What do you mean by that?" You asked.
"Well," He said leaning/slumping against the wall as he lit a cigarette all cool like, "There's the kind of girl who loves Valentines Day because they always have a date, then there are those who don't care about guys and therefore don't care about the holiday, then there is your type, the kind that really does care but you're too pathetic of a person to ask someone because you want the guy to ask you. Even though it's possible for you to just give valentines to people you just care about."
"Is that all? 'Cause if it is, you can just leave." You grumbled.
"Nah, I'm just getting started."
You banged your head and let it rest.
"Not that I care really, but would you like to go to the valentine's day dance?"
Your head shot up, "Are you doing this out of sympathy?"
"Call it what you will, heck you could even say I'm one of your types as well but that doesn't matter does it? What matters is if you want to go with me or not? I asked you so you should just humor me and go along with it."
You finally nodded, "Yeah, thanks, I'll come to the dance with you."
He nodded and left.
"Hey Ar-," then you stopped and thought about it with glee, Arthur asked you to the dance. Inside your head you were having a party and screaming, "HE ASKED ME! ARTHUR KIRKLAND ASKED ME! THE WORLD LOVES ME!" But when you saw everyone looking at you, even the shocked face of Arthur you realized to your horror that you had been thinking aloud. You blushed a deep dark crimson red and ran to the bathroom till the end of the day.
The next evening at about seven o'clock, you were about to have your dad drive you to the dance, when there was a knock at the door.
"I got it!" You called and opened it, and to your surprise you saw Arthur, and blushed, "Uh…oh…hey!"
"Hey, you ready?"
"Um yeah." You said looking down at your black and red miniskirt with red leggings and a white shirt with a big red heart and you fingered your pink heart earrings.
"Festive much?"
"Well it is Valentines Day." You said.
Arthur shrugged, "Yeah, whatever." Then he extended his hand, and you took it, "Bye daddy! My date's here to pick me up! I'll be back at midnight! That's when the dance ends!" You called.
"Alright have fun, but not too much!" Your dad called back making you blush.
Arthur opened the door for you and you both went to the dance. You jammed to the music and then the first slow dance came on, "So…about the other day…"
Arthur chuckled then it turned into a laugh, and looked at your adoringly, "Don't worry about it, I think it was kind of hot and cute that you exclaimed like that."
"Oh…listen Arthur the truth is…I've been like massively crushing on you that's why I was so happy it was you." Then you saw him blush brightly.
"What's the matter Arthur?"
"Well…I've been kinda crushing on you."
"Oh." You said turning a little giddy.
"So…why don't we just do it?"
"Do it?" You turned red, "You mean do it do it?
"Huh? No! I mean if you want to sure, but I meant dating!" Arthur exclaimed quietly.
You smiled, "Okay."
At midnight the announcer said, "Alright girls, give your man a little kiss."
You leaned and kissed him and he took you deeper into his arms and kissed you back.
This was your own fairytale moment.
