10th. Takes place after the events of Knockdown, but doesn't really pertain to it all that much.

This one came to me randomly as I was watching said movie, and yes I know I changed the quote around a little, but I had to make it more Martha-ish.

I think I'll do a couple more of these if the inspiration hits, let me know what you think.

Disclaimer: Sadly, Castle still isn't mine. And Good Will Hunting is all Gus Van Sant's.

"What's got you so upset today, my boy?" Martha stated as she made her grand entrance in a sea of red silk.

"What makes you think there's something wrong?"

"I don't think you give me enough credit, you think I don't notice these things but I do."

"Mother how many of those drinks did you have tonight?"

"Oh," she waved him off with a scoff of disagreement. "Now look that is your fourth cup of coffee tonight, based on the almost empty coffee pot. Alexis told you you've been home for a couple hours now and, yep," she confirmed looking over his shoulder, "you have nothing written."

Castle groaned in annoyance as he closed his laptop and stood up to pace across the room. Martha took that as her cue and sat down on the couch in the corner of the room as an invitation for him to continue whenever he was ready to clear his mind.

"I kissed her."

"Well it's about time." She said encouragingly, but paused after, anticipating there was more to the story.

"As part of a cover up, we had to get passed a guard to save Ryan and Esposito."

"But it only started out that way." She said knowingly, wearing a small but amused smile.

"You know; you really are wise beyond your years." He stated as he took the seat next to her.

"You better watch your mouth." She joked while wrapping an arm around his shoulder.

"Yes, mother."

After a momentary pause she started in, "I think I'm still missing the problem; just tell her how you really feel."

"It's not that simple, why would she want to be with me when she has Dr. Motorcycle Boy?"

"You're not perfect sport, and let me save you the suspense, she isn't either. But the question is whether or not you're perfect for each other."

"Good Will Hunting mother, really?"

"All I'm saying is," She punctuated, referring back to the topic. "In the end, the heart is always right."

tbc.
