Me: Hello everyone! Every time I start one of these it seems to start with an apology. So why break a winning tradition! I know its been awhile since my last update but have no fear. Actually have a bit of fear. Still no plot to the other series. Sorry. On the other hand have actually written out all the stories in this one before posting anything, so yay!
Army of EVIL Plot Bunnies: Just because you did something right for a change doesn't mean you should start celebrating. Just that you should do it more often!
Me: But it's haaaaaarrrrrrrrd!
Army of EVIL Plot Bunnies: *waves pitchfork*
Me: I withdraw my complaint.
Army of EVIL Plot Bunnies: She owns nothing. NOOOOOOTHIIIIIIING.
The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the bugs were (practically) devouring anyone brave enough to leave the cool air-conditioned security of their homes. An average British summer day.
It shouldn't be.
It should be wet, it should be raining, the entire world should be mourning. He was dead. He was dead, he was dead, he was DEAD! HE WAS NEVER COMING BACK!
He died millions of years ago yesterday, so millions of people today could live.
He was an irritating brat. So convinced he was right. Arrogant. All he wanted to do was travel, and yet all they seemed to do was fight. Except not anymore. Because he was gone. Forever. No coming back.
So far away from home.
It SHOULD be raining.
It was pointless.
He was a hero. But it was always going to fail. It had to fail. There was no point! It was always going to crash, it had already crashed, it killed the dinosaurs and gave rise to humanity!
And if he'd only figured it out sooner...
If he'd told him, he wouldn't have needed to stay behind. He could have escaped! He could be...
It was all his fault.
He could have saved him! He didn't have to... He didn't... He could be...
But he didn't. And he's dead. And it will NEVER happen again.
The sound of laughter behind his back. A child throwing breadcrumbs, a black and white bird jumping around eating them up. An old nursery rhyme.
He smiled sadly and walked away.
One for sorrow...
Me: Panic not! Not all are as depressing as this one. I mean a couple are, at least one more, but not all of them. Also all of my stories are getting shorter and shorter...
Army of EVIL Plot Bunnies: Well do something about it then!
