Waiting for you
"…I'll be waiting for you. Always. Always."
She waited. It was her promise to him. That she would always be by his side, watching him. So she waited for him. He said he would come back. And Tear believed him. It was his promise. She wanted to believe he wouldn't go back on it. She had to.
He has duties. Just as she has. She couldn't ask him not to fulfill them. Not after everything. It was a necessity. For himself, for his loved ones and for the world. He had wanted, needed, to fulfill them.
So she waited. Didn't give up on him. She was supposed to watch him. That won't be possible if not for his return. So Luke had to come back.
Come back to her. Come back to them. He belonged right here, next to her, by their side. She hasn't given up on him. No, none of them had. So he had to come back. Yes, he had promised.
"…I will. I promise. I'll come home."
So she would wait for him to come back home. Always. Always.
