The thought of Yukimura Seiichi going out with (no-one had quite the bravery to say being-in-love-with aloud) Niou Masaharu was – if nothing else – unbelievable. Still it was a fact.
When the regulars first caught sight of Yukimura ordering laps to the trickster, who bowed, smiled (not smirked, Renji noted worried) and started running almost as cheerfully as Marui was after receiving his favourite gum, they thought it was strange, but they were downright dumbfounded when a sweaty and worn-out Niou leaned himself against the Bouchu for support and Yukimura wrapping his arms around him.
They all had stared at Yagyuu questioningly, since if someone knew something about the trickster it would be him. But he shook his head, explaining politely that, yes, he knew about Masaharu-Kun's crush on their Bouchu (or why do you believe would he actually show up regularly on practice? Even if he had missed all of his lessons before?), but, no, he didn't know about the details.
Akaya then opened his mouth to say what was on the minds of the other regulars: "Aren't you supposed to be in love with Niou-Sempai?"
On this Yagyuu gaped unbelieving and give the second-year a glare that would have made his doubles partner proud.
The situation just seemed to worsen when the boys in question entered the changing room, holding hands casually and giving them an innocent look (at least on Yukimura's side).
But slowly things relaxed, everyone getting more or less used to the unusual pair.
It has it's merits. Sanada mused watching a few second year's practice match with one eye. The other was always twitching to where Niou was practising with Yagyuu, carefully observed by Yukimura. He hadn't felt the need to take an overdose painkillers for a week now and even though Niou's tricks and schemes had reached a whole new level of...evilness, he spared the tennis club. Yukimura definitely knew how to positively influence the trickster and in Sanada's opinion that was why it worked out.
Because Yukimura would always be the bouchu, their Child of God and Niou would always stay Niou, a Petenshi and one of a kind.
Sanada's pretty insightly, isn't he?
I know this is probably the very first attempt of someone writing YukimuraXNiou, but I was forced to do it.
Dedicated to my friend who is a Yukimura and Niou fanatic and talked me into writing this one. Blame her if you don't like it ;)
Please leave a review anyway, for I practically live from those.
Love, Akemi
