She ran to him, screaming his name, although there was nothing she could do. Her heart raced. This could not be happening... It could not be happening…

The background was as desperate as she was, but she didn't notice. It didn't matter anymore and she could feel nothing: the world was supposed to have stopped when he had fallen…

It hadn't.

Although no coherent thoughts crossed her mind, her heart was convinced he'd open his eyes from what appeared was peaceful sleep. Thus, her feet carried her as fast as they could. What if he woke and she wasn't at his side?

Her heart felt elated, although his eyes were still closed and the lights seemed closer than ever. He was alright! The lights continued shifting around her, while her happiness seemed to engulf what surrounded her…

Including the voice to her left that had shouted a terrible curse…

The flash of green light hit her in the small of the back but, even as she fell forward, she did not feel it: Tonks was already next to Remus, happy, complete, floating…
