Draco Malfoy was not a exceedingly lucky person. Sure, he was rich, but when it came down to it, he only hurts the ones he loves. Second year comes to mind, when he called the girl he liked a "mudblood".

He still remembers the look on her face when he said it. A mixture of hurt and shock. That was when they officially became enemies. From then on he continued to taunt her, Potty, and Weasel.

He also remembers following her in sixth year, to protect her. From what was going to happen. From his family's mistakes. He spent countless nights in the library, where she was. His love. His beauty. His Aphrodite.

His. His. His.

Hermione Granger was a horribly unlucky person. She was smart, but why did she fall for him? He, who bullied her and her friends incessantly throughout their schooling.

She remembers third year, when she punched him. She didn't know why. Maybe it was all the taunting she had put up with. Maybe it was because what he was saying got to her, but she thinks it was because she knew he would never love her. He would continue to bully her and her friends, but doing the worst to her. Every time he used that word, it broke her heart.

Knowing that he thought of her as the lowest of the low.

She remembers sixth year. He followed her, and she noticed, but why?

Why did he follow her?

Why? Why? Why?

They were both working in the Ministry, both in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, when they met, again. He silently begged her to forgive him. She silently comforted him.

They ending up going for coffee at their lunch break and got to talking.

They talked about anything and everything. About her recent break-up with Ron, and how they stayed friends. About his failed marriage with Astoria Greengrass. He eventually asked her to go to dinner with him.

It was a few months into their relationship when it happend. They were fighting and fighting, until Hermione ran out in tears. He chased her out.

He ran and ran until he caught her. She looked into his stormy gray eyes with her tear glazed ones and said, "before you break-up with me, just tell me something. Did you sleep with her?"

Draco was shocked. He wanted to find whoever put the thought that he was cheating on her and strangle that person. He would never cheat on her!

He pulled her into his arms and said ,"Whoever told you that I was cheating on you is either EXTREMELY misinformed or trying to break us up. I love you Hermione. I always have and I always will. I will never sleep with someone else while I have you. I swear this to you."

They kissed in the rain, right there.

They ended up living a really happy life together, with three kids and six grandchildren. They were finally lucky.

Sometimes, we don't get our perfect match.

Sometimes, we do.

If, in the end of it all, we get our perfect match, it is worth it.

A/N woohoo! My first story! I apologize if it is OOC in anyway. I have no idea what drove me to write this, but now that I have, I feel happy!
