Videl's Christmas Miracle.

Videl aroused to awakening at four in the morning. A natural early riser, Videl rose from her bed, took a shower, and put on some sweats. Even then, it was cold, so Videl slipped into her bathrobe and was well. The one thing on her mind was enough to jerk tears from her eyes: Gohan. A School trip that Hercule refused to allow her on. It was onto a boat to learn about engineering and physics. They set sail and were to be back in about two weeks.

However, the boat was lost at sea, and could not be found. Videl had many brightly wrapped gifts under the tree, but she only wanted one thing. Gohan was the five-letter word that stuck in her head and would not leave her thoughts. Right now, she had to make a decision: Wake up her dad or let him sleep? She decided to let him sleep. She never liked to be seen crying, and no one but God was watching her, so she let the salty beads drip from her eyes.

After a few minutes of crying, she heard her dad coming down the stairs. Videl wiped the tears off her face and greeted her dad.

"Merry Christmas, Dad," she said,

"Merry Christmas, Videl." He said back, "Aren't you gonna open a present?"

"In a bit," said Videl, "right now I just need time to think,"

"You gotta think about opening presents?" he asked, "Well, I'm not waiting for you." Videl sat and tried feverishly to get Gohan out of her head and enjoy the moment. When she managed, she opened a few presents. After the celebrations were over, Videl was reading a book, when her dad shoved the day's newspaper into her face.

"LOST BOAT FOUND, NO PASSENGERS LOST." Was what the article stated. Videl instantly got dressed and flew to the docks where the boat had settled.

Videl made it to the docks. She searched for Gohan for about a half hour but did not find him. Finally, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She looked behind her, and Gohan stood.

"Merry Christmas, Videl Satan." He said. Tears welled up in her eyes as she embraced him tightly. He returned the embrace without hesitation or second thought. They stayed in this embrace warmly and for a while.

"All I wanted for Christmas," said Videl "Was you."

I know that this is short but get over it. I also know that Christmas is a while away but read and enjoy without flaming.
