First Date
Usa
"Don't make the Usa write!" - Usa.
Today was a flurry of unprecedented excitement. This was the first date I've ever had and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can honestly say I wouldn't mind doing this again... as long as it's with the same person that is.
The date started out rather shyly at first, almost as if my date and I didn't know each other very well. But we did, so everything went by smoothly after we got over the initial awkwardness. My date seemed really hesitant, almost as if she didn't want to spend the day with me, or rather she didn't want to spend the day seeing me as a possible love interest.
"I had fun today." I murmured shyly. I could feel my cheeks burn with a rosy tint, my hands were trembling and my lips quivered. I wanted to give my date a kiss goodbye, but I don't think she'd appreciate it very much.
"I had fun today too, Fate-chan." she replied with a shy smile.
There was no avoiding it, she knew what I wanted to do and she was scared. I don't know what hurt more, the fact that this will be the last date I'll have with her or the fact I scare her. My heart strings constrict and my mouth goes dry, the look in her eyes told me I was going to get rejected and the moment I do I'll probably burst into tears. My body was bracing itself for the inevitable.
Pushing a stray strand of auburn hair away from her gentian colored eyes, the deep blush on her cheeks a complete contrast to her pale skin, Nanoha smiled at me. "I really did enjoy our time together. I just wished we went out a bit earlier so we'd have more time."
"Really?" I eagerly blurted out, my head sinking in embarrassment when I realized how I sounded.
"Nyahaha, Fate-chan you're too cute."
I shook my head and grinned. "You're cuter."
"Fate-chan, this can go on forever so let's just agree that we're both cute okay?" Nanoha stated in a happy tone of voice.
So with her playful words the argument died down and we fell back into a soft yet enjoyable silence. I guess there's always next time, because even though right now was the perfect moment, but it wasn't the right time.
Nanoha is worth the wait.
