Disclaimer: I (tragically) don't own Psych.

Okay, I'm sorry it took me so long to update this trilogy (If you don't know what I'm talking about, go to my profile and check out The Band and The Gig. This fic wont make much sense out of context.) but I haven't had any reviews (hint, hint) and I've been really busy with Last Night Psych, Yin, Shassie: A Love Story, schoolwork, flute lessons, voice lessons, dance classes...you get the picture. Anyway, enjoy, review, favorite, follow or just read!

Shawn ran up to the stage when Juliet's solo ended.

"Thank you!" She cried, bowing to the audience. He threw his arms around her.

"Babe, that was incredible!Thank you!" He whispered in her ear while they hugged. She handed him his Best Consultant certificate.

"I have even more good news!" She whispered back. "This award gets you put on an automatic retainer. Even when the murders slow down, you'll still get paid! Plus, you're now an official member of the department, so you have full access to the station."

He smiled. "Thanks, Jules. I have to go thank the Chief." He slipped back into the throng. A woman stopped her as she exited the stage.

"I'm Rachel Clemton, Buzz McNabb's cousin. I work for an agency up in Santa Monica, and I just want to give you my card. No pressure." She handed her a square of paper and walked away.

One Year Later

"A little more enunciation, Shawn!" Paulo called from the booth.

"One more time!" He cleared his throat and introduced us on the track.

"Take 3, Song: Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper. Band: Good Cop/Bad Cop. Genre: Cover Band."

The band blasted through the song, harmonies on pitch, voices on key. It was their last try before their third album's release on Friday. Shawn had the idea to throw in Time After Time, and they just went with it.

"Okay, that's good for the day." Paulo dismissed them.

When they came out the studio door, hordes of fans were waiting.

"Oh, my god! IT'S CARLTON!" A teenage girl wearing a Lassie 4-ever shirt screamed when she saw them

She was with a few other Lassie lovers. The crowd was divided by their favorite band member. Carlton's section was full of tough, cool-looking people (with the obvious exception of the girl who screamed).

Juliet's section was packed with gorgeous 20-somethings who either was madly in love with her or looked at her as a fashion icon, a music icon, or both. She was the band's front man, and Juliet O'Hara was a household name.

Shawn's section was made of bouncy, blonde, cheerleader types. They went crazy for his "dumb but crazy sexy act". The more substantial people went for Jules and Lassie.

Last but not least, Gus was worshipped by nerds everywhere. His section was full of bespectacled, scrawny teenagers to middle-agers. They each went out to their groupies to sign autographs. The smile that spread across Shawn's face when one of his perky teenagers asked him to sign her breast was priceless. Jules laughed and chatted with her fashionistas and generally awesome people, who loved her with all their hearts. Lassie snapped pictures and exchanged meaningful looks with his cool, quiet followers. Gus had a mini-spelling bee with his pet nerds. He won, of course. They had found their people. They all liked being glamorous, but they missed being detectives.

A shot rang out and a Jules groupie screamed. Maybe their cop days weren't as finished as they had thought.

Fun Fact: I had Shawn signing his groupie's breast because the same thing happened to James Roday! He told the story in an interview. Lol!
