Disclaimer: I do not own Vampire Academy or its characters, Richelle Mead does.

"I don't think I can do this!"

"Yes, you can! You're just going to walk out there and smile"

"What if something goes wrong? I'll trip and destroy everything."

"No, you won't. I don't get why you are this nervous, it's not like it's you getting married."

"I know, I just… I can't believe you're going to do this!"

"Me neither" I smiled and hugged her. "Everything's going to be fine. Just look at Christian, okay?"

"Okay" she sniffled. "Can you give me a tissue? I think I'm going to cry."

I handed her a piece of paper and laughed at her when she dabbed her eyes, trying not to ruin her mascara.

"Shouldn't it be me crying? I feel like we have changed the roles a little bit" she looked at me and then looked again, as if to check something.

"Why aren't you crying? I think it is against the bride codex not to cry on your wedding day" I arched my eyebrows.

"Bride codex?"

"You know what I mean"

"Yeah…I just don't think I've realised that it's actually happening" I lifted the skirt of my dress and sat down on a chair by the door. I must have looked like I was giving up, because Lissa grabbed my shoulders and stared me in the eye.

"You are not getting cold feet, are you?"

"No! I just think it's amazing that this will happen"

"Oh, Rose, you're making me cry again!" There was something behind all this crying, I could feel it, but before I had the chance to ask her about it, someone knocked on the door.

Lissa straightened and opened it to reveal Abe standing there. Believe it or not, he was giving me away.

I hadn't wanted it that way at first, but everyone else forced me to. Dimitri and Lissa because it was traditional and Abe because he wanted to have a part of my life, I guess. I hoped he wouldn't refuse to give Dimitri my hand or something else embarrassing.

"It's time" Abe declared and smirked. "Come on, Kiz, don't make the Russian wait." We followed him out and when I saw the people standing outside the chapel door, I was sure I felt a tear moving in my eye. I pressed it back, Lissa would kill me if I ruined the make up she'd worked on for two hours. Plus, Rose Hathaway wasn't known for tearing up at any sappy moment.

While I thought, the bridesmaids, including Lissa and the Belikova sisters, walked out and the light chatter that the few people in the chapel had made died out.

I looked at Abe and he smiled.

"Let's do this"

We walked out and I caught Dimitri's eye. From there on, I don't remember anything until the Father started speaking.

He talked about cherishing and loving and it was surely very deep and thoughtful, only I kind of focused on Dimitri's hand in mine.

"Does anyone have any objections towards this marriage?" Everyone leaned backwards while staring at someone at my side. I quickly glanced that way and saw Lissa staring intensely at the crowd.

Dimitri and I exchanged rings and then the Father said the best words I have ever heard.

"You may now kiss the bride"

Dimitri leaned in and our lips met and it was an amazing kiss, one of the best, but I had something else in mind.

I put my arms around his neck, jumped up and put my legs around his waist. A joined gasp went through the room.

Another gasp went when Dimitri tried to hold me up and accidentaly put his hands on my butt.

"Dimitri!" His mother, grandmother and sisters hissed.

We just smiled and kissed some more.
