Alright here's another story. Layla Lash again. I apologize for Lash being a bit ooc
"Layla I know your answer…please reconsider." Lash asked, his eyes were wide and pleading. "I really do love you…" She was nearly in tears.
"Lash I can't…you know I can't…Lash…" Layla stumbled out.
"Layla, I love you. It doesn't have to be this way, we can run away, leave forever…you won't have to be Greenpeace anymore…" He stayed down on one knee, the box closed and his hands holding both hers.
"I can't just leave Lash! I'm needed here…the civilians you terrorize need me…" She whimpered.
"I only cause issues so I can see you!" He snapped pulling on her arms. "You kept standing me up when I tried the 'normal' dating system" He explained, she finally dropped down to his level, both were on their knees.
"It wasn't my fault…Lash it wasn't…" She kept repeating.
"Layla…" He leaned forward and pressed his lips to her forehead. "I love you more then you can comprehend." Layla doubled over and wrapped her arms around her stomach, she couldn't stop crying.
"Lash…I can't marry you…" She couldn't find a valid excuse.
"I know they're mine" He finally said, his hands wrapping around her waist and pulling her against him. She stiffened in surprise.
"How…?" She whimpered, her hands covering the hands covering her stomach.
"Lay, it's obvious." He whispered into her ear.
"They're why" She finally said. They both sat and leaned against eachother. Layla had stopped crying.
"You remember Warren?" She asked finally, her voice was weak, exhausted.
"Yah, the pyro you work with" He said.
"His father was a villain. Look at the ridicule he experienced…I can't allow my children to live through that…" She explained.
"Children?"
"Twin girls" She looked over her shoulder at him. He leaned down and kissed her lips gently.
"Lay, I'm not Baron. I…will be anything…anything it takes to wed you." He said honestly. She turned to him. "I know you love me, you wouldn't be crying if you didn't. I swear I will do anything to earn your hand" He started listing things, some of them were absurd.
"Be good." She finally whispered. "For everyday after today I want you to do something good. When six monthes pass I will wed you." She spoke louder at the end.
"I'll do it…I swear I will do it…" He kept planting kisses on her face. "Is it a yes then?" He asked, he looked like a puppy. She nodded and he eagerly got the ring out and slid it on her finger.
"I love you Layla"
"I love you too…."
