The lighthouse was there, standing alone, near the shore where water and rocks met capriciously and kissed each other dangerously once and again.

The lighthouse was majestic in its structure, slim but not weak, all white but never dull; it was always pristine in spite of the always stormy and cloudy Welsh weather.

The lighthouse was a constant for the many travellers who dared to sail in open waters; travellers from very distant lands, which after not always calm voyages, found the clear and calm presence of the lighthouse, as if it were a friend, waiting for their return and helping them to come back home safe.

The lighthouse was always there, as a steadfast soldier, always ready to help when it was needed, offering his very own light to guide others; being brave when the storm was ragging outside and doing its job perfectly until it was no longer needed, and then, when the weather was fine and the night sky was clear and filled with millions of tiny starts, it turned invisible in spite of the fact that it was still standing there.

There was a time when a lost traveller found his way to the Welsh coast after travelling through time and space for a long time. The brave traveller saw the lighthouse and immediately fell in love with it. The simple lighthouse felt flattered because the dashing traveller came to visit him quite often and, little by little, the traveller told it stories about his many travels and adventures, and between conversations, they became dear friends that enjoyed spending time together. The traveller used to go away from time to time but he always found his way back to his lighthouse.

Nobody knew how it happened but one night, a ship, alien to the area, crashed against the lighthouse and its lights died out forever. The traveller, who was also a Captain, came as soon as possible and he felt so hopeless when he saw his lighthouse lying on the sand, broken and unmoving; he also felt guilty because he had not been able to save it. But suddenly, when he was sitting surrounded by the rubble, he remembered that, inside himself, he had an extra source of light and life, and without hesitation, he shared it with his lighthouse, putting it back together and bringing it back to life.

It is said that when the Captain saw his friend in all its glory, he decided to stop travelling and spend the rest of their lives side by side, together, basking in their shared light.
