Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.
"Hinata…" The man whispered her name, and she smiled.

She smiled because her dreams had finally become true. She was in the arms of her obsession- the man that she loved since the first day of the academy, the first cocky grin that was sent her way.

Naruto.

She smiled when they kissed. But she also was in pain.

She hurt because his warm lips were mocking her. He was not hers, and she was not his. And afterwards, she would have to go home to the coldness.

Sasuke… her husband.

Sasuke never held her like this. He was the ice, cold and possessive- only marrying her because the Hyuuga clan had offered her and he needed heirs.

Naruto was the sun, sometimes warm, but also as painful as the ice. His grins, his roaring laughter; both as painful as the harsh rays of the sun beating down on her fragile skin. He wasn't hers. And every glance she saw of him hurt, because the only time her dreams would be true would be when Sasuke was out of town.

The only time she could smile was when she was in Naruto's arms, but it was also the time when it hurt most. Because Naruto still didn't love her. She knew he only did this with her as a kind of childish revenge. A revenge against Sasuke, his old rival who had betrayed Konoha and only came back after he had killed Itachi. A revenge against Sakura, who left Naruto with the baby when they got divorced, who then went ahead and married Hinata's cousin.

Naruto's tanned skin was beautiful against her own, she had often mused. The contrast between his golden tan and her porcelain white skin was simply stunning.

Unlike the almost disturbing similarity between her and Sasuke's skin. She often closed her eyes when she was with Sasuke, pretending that he was Naruto; that the beautiful contrast was still there.

And when she had to leave Naruto, when she had to go back to the Uchiha estate… the warm rays of her sun had left her and she had to go back to the ice; the only thing she could claim as her own… she tried not to let the tears escape.

When she tried to fake a smile for when Sasuke came home, she always couldn't. Her face remained expressionless, but it didn't matter anyway, since it wasn't like Sasuke looked at her when he could avoid it.

The only thing that stopped her from running away, leaving Konoha like her husband had once done, was the life that she could sense growing inside of her. And the child she knew was coming didn't even stop the mind-numbing despair inside of her.

Because when she mused about her future baby, she knew that the child would grow up like the father. Her baby would be ice.

And that was the only time she would let the tears fall.

AN: I was bored, and I wanted to write a Naruto one-shot. This is the result.

I was kinda iffy about writing this, cause I wasn't sure if Hinata had enough guts to cheat on her husband. But I figure that she'd do anything to be with Naruto.

Oh, and to the people who have me on author-alert cause of my Harry Potter fanfic, sorry. Hopefully you're a fan of Naruto, too!

Review, please!
