The first day that Briar started courting her, he was simply teasing her and finding any and all ways to make her laugh.

On the second day, he bowed to her, presenting a frilly pink colored carnation. Sandry grinned, now familiar with Briar's perfection and pruning of his plants. This one has been paid with extra attention.

On the third day, Briar hands Sandry a crown of golden branches and leaves, today she officially became the Duchess of Emelan.
Tris noted the fleeting silver all over the golden crown; she glances over at Daja, seeing a satisfied grin on her face.

On the fourth day, Briar held Sandry's hand and slipped a light blue stone leaf into her hand. Later that night, Sandry awoke feeling breathless, trying to suck air into the night. She instinctively feels for her crystal of light, but instead felt a smooth, flat leaf. It sent a small pulse of light into her trembling hands. She felt instantly calm.

On the fifth day, Sandry found Briar and kissed him on his cheek. She glances at him, her eyes bright and cheeks rosy, and dashes away.
Well that's a start. Mind-speaks Briar.
Daja and Tris giggle back.
