This story popped into my mind one day during math. I just had to write it and thus, this fic was born. I hope you enjoy reading this fic as much as I enjoyed writing it.
I make no claim to owning Harry Potter or the characters in it. It all belongs to J.K. Rowling. Please R&R, constructive criticism would be appreciated but flames will make me laugh.
The entire day had been bad for Remus Lupin. No, the entire month had been bad. Ever since his last transformation, nothing had gone right for the poor lycanthrope. Not only had the previous month's transformation been unusually painful, but it had taken him three days to recover. Due to the long recovery time he had fallen behind in his classes and with exams just around the corner the young werewolf had never been more stressed in his life. He looked at his watch and immediately regretted it. No one should be forced to study at three o'clock in the morning, he thought to himself. Everyone else had gone to bed hours ago, leaving him alone to do his homework in peace. He crumpled up the piece of paper in front of him and threw it into the fire to join the twenty or thirty other papers he had thrown into the fire earlier into the evening. He was so frustrated that he wanted to scream, cry, and punch a wall all at the same time. During the momentary pause in his frantic writing, the amount of work that he still had left to finish came crashing down on him. He gasped for air; it felt like he couldn't breathe. His hands began shaking so badly that he couldn't hold his quill straight. He felt a pair of strong arms wrap themselves around his chest and heard Sirius' voice telling him to breathe. He tried to comply, but couldn't seem to calm himself. Sirius turned him around so that he could see Sirius' calm, loving expression.
"Breathe Remmy." he commanded gently. Remus managed to slow his breathing slightly, but it was still far too fast for Sirius' liking. He leaned down and gently kissed him. The gentle pressure stopped Remus from breathing altogether. Sirius gently coaxed Remus into opening his mouth before he calmly breathed in and out, forcing Remus to breathe with him. Remus closed his eyes and let his arms fall limply to his side as Sirius rubbed his hands soothingly up and down his back. Sirius pulled back after a moment. He pulled Remus closer and gently pushed Remus' head onto his shoulder, wrapping his arms protectively around him. They stood like that for a while before Remus fell asleep. Sirius smiled down at the sleeping boy. He gently picked him up and watched as Remus snuggled closer to him. He carried Remus up the stairs to the boys dormitory and gently set him down on the bed. He crawled into bed next to him and pulled the blankets up over both of them. "Night Remmy." he muttered before he too fell asleep.
The Next morning James woke up early and was greeted by the sight of his friends cuddled together. He smiled, "About time." he said softly before he walked down to breakfast, hoping to find Lilly.
