Prologue

I just sat there, waiting for her to speak first. It's not like I could be the first one to talk anyway, my mouth was dry and I didn't even know what to say. I inhaled, taking a seat on the stump closest to me, looking up at her as she paced back and forth. She stopped, a small smile played on her lips before she began.

"You feel it too, right?" I was confused, beyond confused. "You know" She moved her hand back and forth between the two of us. "This, you don't feel it?" I scratched my head. "The pull" Oh that.

"Yeah, I do- wait" I stood up, how was this happening? "You feel it too?" She nodded. I took both her hands in mine, sitting her down on a log so I could start my story about the elders.

"I knew there was more to it than that" She grinned once I finished. "So I'm your imprint?" I nodded with a smile. She took my large hand in her tiny one and began pulling me out of the forest, pushing branches out of the way as she ran past them. I could hear her giggling as she lead me to the roads.

"Where are we going?" I didn't really care where we were going honestly, this was all going too well. My imprint knew everything, she accepted it and she accepted me. I smiled as she walked out, stopping half way in the road.

"It's a suprise!"

Thats when the car hit her.

I knew this was too easy.
