Summary: In the third in this series (?) starting with 'Forget Them!' and 'Silent Mistake' Mulan continues to fight her feelings for Tinkerbell as they have a normal-ish morning.
Mulan continued to cut up the vegetables for the slow cooker as she heard the thumps of Tinkerbell getting ready. The warrior smiled to herself as she heard the cute accent asking herself where she had put her cellphone. Mulan was tempted to text the blonde, but there was a triumphant shout. "Found ya!" Mulan washed her hands and placed the lid on the slow cooker, and then went to the coffee maker where she poured a cup for Tinkerbell, who just exited the room. "I will NEVER get how you can be more together than I am when I know you drank more than both of our previous records last night." Tinkerbell groaned, taking the mug of coffee. She kissed Mulan's cheek, and the warrior turned away.
"I've been up for a little while, if that helps you any?"
"Since I am still hung over, that doesn't help me at all."
Mulan chuckled and watched as Tinkerbell brought the cup to her nose and took in a deep breath before she drank just as deeply from it. "Perfect. Got any roast left?"
"I put it in for lunch," Mulan replied.
"I'm going to have it for breakfast."
"I don't care. It's in your lunchbox." Mulan said with a shrug.
"Bless!" The blonde went to the refrigerator and opened her lunch box and grabbed the roast sandwich, ripping open the baggy and taking a bite as if she hadn't demolished a plate of chicken wings the night before. She hummed happily, and Mulan went to the cupboard for the peanutbutter. "DNNM-" Tinkerbell began to say, but Mulan interrupted her.
"Please chew that thing," she said with a smirk. "And you know that you are going to want more, and even your Oreos can't be traded for anything big.
"They're Oreos, so you never know…" Tinkerbell said once she swallowed her bite. She rolled her eyes and set her sandwich down. "I'll make my own sandwich," she said in a mutter. Mulan handed her the peanutbutter. "But thank you. You don't have to make my lunch everyday."
"Seeing as you're just now done getting ready, I figure I might as well. It is no hassle." Mulan took this time to get her jacket ready. Ten minutes later, Tinkerbell was standing with Mulan at the door, sandwich finished and second sandwich made. Mulan had her lunch in hand and her jacket on. She turned to look at Tinkerbell. The look on the blonde's face was a slight pout, but she didn't have the time to ask her what was wrong. "Don't turn off my slow cooker. I refuse to order pizza twice in a week."
"It was that one time…" Tinkerbell huffed.
Mulan smiled, her chest straining as it always did when she looked at Tinkerbell and found her adorable, which was always. "I…" she said, but she stopped. She couldn't believe she was about to right then and there spill her only secret that only Granny knew because that woman knew everything. She took in a deep breath to stop her words from ruining everything.
Tinkerbell's cheeks pinkened slightly. "I know," she said softly, "and I feel the same." She placed a hand on Mulan's shoulder, went on her tiptoes for a kiss on the mouth, and said, "Have a good day at work."
"You too," Mulan said, a smile crossing her lips before she kissed Tinkerbell again. She turned to go, knowing that this was going to be a very good day.
