Death was in his eyes

So cold and fathomless

They called to me

I stood by his side

Awash in darkest power

Saturated to my core

Becoming all he was

I knew death

Crept into mine eyes

A coldness, emptiness so pure

As I learned to hate

His simple touch could direct me

The darkest deeds

I would gladly do.

My addiction to him so true

Even a child's cry

Couldn't move me now

His power consumed all:

That upon which I fed

That which I took to my bed

Every moment of my day

To the brim of my nights

His power filling meI could taint the purest with a look

And render death without a pause

Never to look back

Love was so weak

Such a pathetic little thing,

Compared to the power he held

An evil that made me whole

My joy was in their screams

Their blood my blessed drink

Nightmares were the nights I didn't dream

My heart finally was home.

(so sue me, inspired by Harry bloody Potter - I have to wonder what must have possessed Snape and others to join Voldemort, what possessed anyone to join something that evil - and it seems so simple...and so attractive)
