"Two days? I have two days to study for TWO finals," Angie said, incredulous.
"That is how high school works," Phillip replied.
"But I have a Chem finals and a Math final!"
"You better study hard then," Phillip said apathetically.
"You're impossible!"
Her perseverance and hard work only came in handy when she was entirely alone. No familial distractions (I swear to god Phillip SHUT UP PLEASE!), and being that it was a week away from Christmas, distractions were everywhere. Wasn't it great that Angie's entire family was coming to visit including all of their family friends. This was going to be fun!
Chemistry was easy. Right? Studying was never Angie's strong suit, she would do homework, yes, but just sitting and studying things she already knew? That's insanely boring!
Not to mention – Math – the bane of Angelica Hamilton's high school existence. Math – sweet sweet Math – could you stop being so annoying? Thank you.
Suffice to say, the weekend was a living hell.
Chemistry, although she knew the basic concepts, was a boring, painful mess that left Angelica stuck in her room with the sounds of visiting family friends bouncing around who, despite Angelica's please to shut up, continued in making annoying, pointless noise.
Soundproof headphones made no avail in helping, as Angelica needed, at least some sound. Just–just not the sound of tiny, tiny children running up and down the stairs. Repeatedly. For a hour and a half.
Math – Oh Math, was about as bas as Angie had expected to be. She was pretty time was going incredibly fast just to ruin her day, and make it so that, even though she could have sworn she woke up at 6 o'clock (before everyone else did), she actually started working at midday. Not to mention, that those 5 minute breaks – they were actually three hours long somehow!
All of this culminated in the Great Mental Breakdown of Angelica Hamilton's life™ or more commonly known as The Great Eruption of Sophomore Year™
Will... YOU PLEASE. SHUT THE FFFFFFFFFUCKKKK UP. THANK YOU THANK YOU PLEASE SHUT UP! I AM WORKING THANKSSSSSSSSSSSS was all that could be heard by the adults in the living room. It was followed by silence on both ends.
From upstairs, the said silence was because Angelica had proceeded to cry for half an hour. Downstairs, the said silence was from the collective group of adults leaving.
High School is the greatest time of your life right?
~Author's Note: Yep. I have two finals and only the weekend to study. Thanks teachers for handing out what was going to be on the Midterm Final the weekend before the Final is due! I appreciate it! Also, I hate studying tbh. Like,, so much. I just… I can't do it….. Can you tell I'm having a low-key mental breakdown? I forgot that Midterms/Finals was this horrible. I legitimately forgot. WELLLLLLLLL JOKES ON ME! I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It's just that my family deciding to be the loudest they possibly can is just the worst. The absolute worst. HAHA. Tomorrow I'm going to the library to study. I just… I can't deal with this.~
