Afraid of a Friend

Set during 'Wolf Moon'

Now, everyone knew Stiles Stilinski was not a guy who had a great attention span unless doped up on Adderol which he really was. In fact, he had been all night so he could do his study session – researching anything and everything werewolf.

But a knock at his door made him jump and he remembered he'd called Scott. Looking around, attention suddenly scattered by the interruptions he went to stand then sat down, glancing around. Then he closed the computer so if it was his dad for some reason he wouldn't see what he was researching.

Then he answered the door, ushering his best friend inside. There he rationally – okay, more like over energetically and spastically but same difference in the end – reminded him of the werewolf joke he'd made, telling his friend it was true. It was all true.

Scott laughed at first but the more Stiles pushed the angrier Scott became. Then he was reminded of Scott's date and Stiles went to cancel it. He had to protect his friend from himself.

That's when Scott slammed him into the wall and hit the chair sending it flying. His friend looked startled and left quickly as he realized what he'd done.

Stiles didn't know what to think – only that Scott was a very dangerous person right then. He leaned back. His friend was dangerous – and angry. Stiles was also terrified of his friend. If he'd been a lesser guy he would have pissed himself but he hadn't. Moving to straighten his chair he found claw marks in the back.

For the first time in his life Stiles was afraid of a friend.
