Appa was getting tired. They had been flying pretty much non-stop after leaving the Fire Nation Capital. Aang was starting to get tired as well.

While the annual Nations meetings were a good idea, it was still exhausting when they were being held in the Fire Nation. Of course, it was still great to see Zuko, but a long flight. So, whenever he did travel that far Aang stayed a couple extra days.

Just as he felt his eyelids getting heavy the great walls of Ba Sing Se appeared. Aang smiled and patted Appa on the head.

"We're home, buddy."

He waved at the guards and flew straight over the wall. Even after living here for 14 years, he still marveled over the beauty of it all.

Once he reached the inner circle, he instructed Appa to land at the special building they had built for him. Aang refilled Appa's food. He put his bag off the saddle and airbended it off Appa's back.

Aang started down the street to where he and Katara lived. The sun had come up about an hour ago and there were a couple people out and about. He smiled and waved politely. The first house on the block was former General Iroh's.

"Good morning, Aang," the old man called from his porch. "How was the meeting?"

"Good morning to you as well, Iroh. It was boring as usual."

He chuckled softly. "How is little Ursa?"

Aang grinned. "She's doing great!"

Ursa was Zuko's daughter. She was only a year old and Iroh hadn't seen her in a while. Aang waved again and continued down the street past the rows and rows of houses until he came to his own.

He pushed open the door and put his bag on a hook. "Katara, I'm home," he said with a yawn.

His only answer was silence.

"Katara?" he called again.

"In here," she called weakly from their bedroom. Aang pushed open the door and saw the bathroom door hanging open. He rushed in. Katara was sitting in front of the toilet holding her stomach while at the same time trying to hold up her hair.

"Are you okay?" Aang said, fear creeping into his voice. He crossed the bathroom in one stride and leaned down next to her. He gently took her hair out of her grasp. Aang noticed a ribbon lying on the counter so he tied up her hair behind her.

Before Katara could respond she started gagging and was forced to lean over the bowl again. Aang wrinkled his nose but said nothing.

He kept a heavy hand on her back, rubbing every so often, until Katara was sure she was done.

Aang kept his hand on her back as the two walked over to the bed. "Are you okay?" he asked again.

Katara nodded. "It started a couple days after you left-"

"Katara! I've been gone for two weeks, why-" Katara put her finger on his lips to silence him.

"It's only been in the morning, it goes away pretty quickly." she smirked and looked him in the eys.

Aang furrowed his brow. "That's really odd.."

Katara looked down and laughed softly. "Not really actually."

"What?" Aang whispered.

Katara laughed again. "Aang..." she put her hand on his cheek. "I'm pregnant."

Aang's eyes went wide and lit up. He grinned and laughed. He shook his head. "I...wow."

Katara laughed and pulled him against her in a hug. Aang wrapped his arms around her and squeezed her tight.

He pulled away and leaned his forehead against hers.

"I just can't wait to meet him," Katara whispered.
