Beauty Unnoticed
Post Restraint
Erica looked in the mirror, dressed in a long grey top and blue jeans, looking at herself in the mirror. Her hair wasn't long, greasy, and streaky anymore. Her skin was flawless, and she knew she was gorgeous.
The bite cleared her complexion, gave her self-confidence, and made her feel sexy. She was beautiful and knew it.
Yet… she was still unnoticed by the one person she wanted to notice her. She had told Stiles that she liked him yet he still didn't notice her. He had to notice how she looked yet he resisted her, didn't bother notice the way she looked at him. Didn't notice anything beyond perfect Lydia Martin who he'd liked just as long as she'd liked him.
He'd been her crush since third or fourth grade.
The first time she'd realized she liked him was after some guys made fun of her. Jackson had been amongst those bullies and it was after that when Jackson made it his life's goal to make his life hell. He stepped in, defending her. It didn't matter that he got beaten up that day.
Stiles was always there, always protecting her. He was her knight in shining armor. He was the one guy who didn't treat her like a pariah. Yet he still seemed to not notice her.
Even after holding her while Derek got the poison out and she screamed in pain he didn't notice her. She was invisible, always invisible. Everybody's eyes turned when she walked into the room, but not him…
Not Stiles Stilinski.
A single tear ran down her cheek as she thought about him. So she pulled off her shirt, changing into something that showed who she was now, a skin tight top, short skirt, heels, and a black jacket. Then she put on makeup. But she couldn't help but feel hollow. Because it wouldn't get his attention.
Nothing would. So she'd go back to being a bitch. At least then she'd get his attention. At least then she'd know he saw her – even if it was only as the bitch.
