Summary: Brooke worries.
Brooke worries about the silliest things. If her hair is too flat, too dull, too scraggly-looking. If her butt looks too big in something, which would only occur if it had magically been enlarged to twenty times its normal size during the night. If her eye shadow is in too stark a contrast with her features.
Sam finds it quirky, cute and infuriating all at the same second. She's mostly annoyed with herself though, for being unable to convince Brooke of her beauty. Lord knows she's told the blonde a million times, and yet there she stands. Critiquing herself in front of her vanity mirror once more.
"Do you think there's a larger than normal amount of space between my eyes?" Brooke asks, frowning and staring at her reflection. Sam just sits, stretched out on Brooke's bed with her back against the headboard, and rolls her eyes.
"Brooke," She begins, drawing the name out slowly. "The space between your eyes is perfect." Brooke turns to look at her, leaning against the vanity table and smiling at Sam, who begins to smile back. "This though?" She points to herself, then to Brooke, with raised eyebrows and smirking in a way that makes the cheerleader's pulse race. "This gaping void between us? Not acceptable." Brooke begins to giggle. As she bounces towards the bed, to Sam's open arms, the giggles quickly turn into bubbles of half laughter, half shrieks.
Brooke may worry about the silliest things, but Sam knows exactly how to make her forget.
