AN: Hi! This is my first fanfiction in a while, bare with me? I hope you like it, it's Rufus/Tifa, of course, it has a bit of Cloud/Tifa as well. Hopefully you'll enjoy.

She hardly glanced up as the bell on the door of the 7th Heaven rang, announcing someone had made their entrance into the bar, the only thing she said, in a low mutter, was; "Sorry we're closed for the night."
"Perhaps you could allow me to have one drink?" The familiar voice had asked her, a shiver ran through her as she finally set her gaze upon him; her wine coloured eyes connected with his cold blue ones, she narrowed her eyes slightly, which seemed to amuse him a great bit, as the usual smirk he wore on his face, whenever he visited the bar, grew slightly as he strolled over closer to her, taking a seat on a bar stool, "I'll take that as a 'no', but never the less, I'm in need of something sweet tonight."
She would have snarled at him, and asked him verbally to leave the bar, instead of just giving him a look, but she decided she would not turn down the small bit of money she would gain from this, and instead she turned to retrieve a glass for the President of ShinRa.
"Nice to see you've finally come around," he said, resting his cheek against his palm as he continued to gaze at her, watching closely as she prepared him a glass of red wine, "That's funny; I don't recall asking you for a certain drink."
"You'll take what I give you," she said, quite blankly.
He snarled, "Fine. Luckily for you, I happen to like red wine."
She did not speak another word as she placed the wineglass on the counter, in front of Rufus, he took the glass in his hand, sniffing the wine before he took a small sip of it, savouring the taste for a moment, before taking another, still watching as Tifa continued to clean the dishes, which she had been doing before he had entered the bar, "How strange," he said, as he swallowed the bit of red wine he had had in his mouth, "I don't recall seeing Strife around lately, don't tell me you two have had a falling out?"
A certain pain struck Tifa as he announced this; she could image Rufus smirking, just after he finished saying this, knowing that he had hit some sort of ache in the Bar Hostess. She didn't answer him, she just continued to clean the stack of dishes piled up in the sink.
"Oh?" Rufus said, a smirk was indeed spread out on his face, "By your silence I'm guessing I am correct. Tell me, Tifa, why do you put up with him, when you can have so much more?"
Her body clenched tightly from his words as she continued her silence, her grip on the glass she had been cleaning, tightened slightly.
Rufus waited for her to reply, but when she did not, he continued on with his small rant, not quite liking the fact that she was ignoring him, he decided he would continue on until she did, "Honestly, why not stop taking care of him? It's only costing you more money, I assume," alas, he only once again gained silence from Tifa, who was now clenching her teeth together, "When does he come home? Once every month I would imagine, by the looks of it. Not that I have a problem with his disappearances, if he would simply disappear for good, be assure I would arrange a celebration party," this time she bit down hard on her lip, her anger was rising with each word he was saying, and her heart was also breaking. "I presume he's never even informed you that he has feelings for you of any sort, or even told you he was grateful for your hospitality." Rufus ShinRa had finally hit Tifa Lockhart's breaking point. Throwing her cleaning cloth down against to counter, she spun around, anger was displayed upon her face, her eyes were swelling with tears as she pointed towards the exit of the 7th Heaven, and said very sternly to him, "You've had your drink, leave. Now."
