The Cavallone boss lay on the floor, sprawled on his back and humming something inane. He was staring up at the ceiling, replaying the meeting he had just gotten out of. There was restlessness brewing among some of the smaller families, and it appeared as though someone was furnishing them with weapons they should not have been able to afford, pulling strings they shouldn't have been able to reach. It was worrisome.
His men laughed and joked down the hall, eating their supper and feeling especially mirthful -- they'd be home tomorrow. It would feel good to sleep in their own beds again, kiss their women hello and eat in a familiar place. Such were Dino's thoughts when a hand that was not his own slipped up under his shirt.
Jolting in surprise, he looked up into the very self-satisfied face of the Vongola Cloud.
"Cavallone." Hibari Kyouya pushed the don back down on the floor and continued the casual molestation of his stomach. "You're getting slow."
"Kyouya." Relaxing back against the hardwood, Dino let a tired smile curl up at the corners of his mouth. "I didn't expect to see you for another two weeks."
The Guardian responded by slipping his hand further up under Dino's shirt, nails digging in as he went. Hibari operated on no one's schedule but his own. "You look terrible." His lips parted in the vaguest of sneers. "Weak."
A soft woof of laughter blew from Dino's mouth. "Things have been a little crazy." He knew that he looked tired. Who wouldn't? The tenth Cavallone cherished people dearly, though he did wish that they would just get along with each other and play nicely.
"Useless." Hibari turned his nose up in disapproval. Apparently he didn't think that a fight would be worth much at the moment, his favorite punching bag being so obviously sub-par. He'd become used to good fights. Spoiled. Frowning, he bent his head down and ghosted his breath across Dino's abdomen. "Too tense."
Helplessly shrugging, Dino opened his mouth to reply, only to have three cool fingers shoved between his lips.
Be silent.
Well. He could manage that. Obligingly mute, Dino sucked the digits, watching Hibari explore his tattoos with his other hand. They had multiplied since the last time they'd seen each other (seen each other naked enough to be able to tell, anyway). It had been a long month and a half.
Hibari considered biting them off, and Dino wondered if he might, the way he was leaning forward over them. It was startling when he rubbed his cheek over the ink instead. Dino smiled faintly when Hibari pulled his fingers out of his mouth and replaced them with his tongue, weight settling down comfortably against him, kissing languidly. Apparently Kyouya had gotten tired of waiting too.
Hours later, as they lay tangled together in an overpriced hotel bed, Dino decided that this was good. Whatever their relationship was, it was good.
Yadda yadda yadda please forgive bad characterization etc etc etc.
