AN: So I did this in a rush, and I don't explain what happens to Annie. I also don't have much dialogue with all the characters. I wrote this off the bat last night.

The water glistened under the strong sunlight. Strong waves crashed loudly onto the shore."I can't believe it..." There stood a boy, his green eyes staring out at the sea with pure amazement. "We made it Eren" Another voice said, much lighter than his own. Armin smiled, closing his eyes as a gentle breeze blew.

"I...I wish everyone could've made it." All heads turned to Connie who looked at the sea with gleaming eyes. He wanted to cry, he wanted to shout, but of course he didn't. Everyone had the same thought in the back of their mind, but no one had the heart to say it.

"Is it really okay for us to enjoy this? After everything we just went through...Reiner...Bertholdt..." He tightened his hands into fists and closed his eyes. "They should've made it too...They were shifters, but..." He choked back a sob. Armin gave him a pat on the back, and sighed. "You were better friends with them than any of us were, so it makes sense you feel that way."

"Ymirs dead too.." A quieter, monotone voice chimed in. Historia wore a blank expression, her blue eyes had lost the light they once had. Connie scoffed. "She knew about everything! She basically commited suicide by going back for those two! She knew about my mom..."

"Connie she protected you. She knew lying to you was the best option at the time. I understand her. None of you ever will...Especially not now.." She bit her bottom lip, and for a second emotion flooded her eyes again. All the pain, all the sadness she was holding back, was shown if only for a moment.
"We've all lost people because of this war..." Sasha muttered with a sigh..

"We're here now. We may have lost some of our friends in the war...but we can carry on their memory." Armin sighed and walked off closer to the shore. "I agree. I may have hated Reiner and Bertholdt for what they did, but I'm here now. I made it." Eren walked off towards the shore, Mikasa following him, not saying a single word. "Historia...I'm sorry." With that Connie walked off with the others.

Soon they all stood together, side by side, their feet in the water. "Marco, we made it." Jean spoke softly, finally saying his first words, even if they were only to himself. He smirked and closed his eyes. "

"We're finally free." Eren grinned, and another breeze blew. The green cloak, with the wings of freedom logo that was placed on their back, blew gently in the wind. Each former soldier took it off, not saying a word, and dropped it to the water before them. They no longer needed those cloaks, those wings that once represented their freedom. They were free now, they didn't need anything to represent that anymore.
