"I hate you." She spits the words out like they are poison in her mouth, but he laps them up, drinks them in, as though they fuel him. He grins dangerously, predatorily. His eyes light up and his teeth glisten, sharp, sharp, sharp in the dim light.
His lips curve up as he says the words softly, reverently, even, "I know."
He touches her cheek gently, trailing his fingers along her jaw. His eyes are locked on hers, unwavering. "You are mine, you know." It isn't said condescendingly but she takes it as such anyway.
She can feel the blood rushing to her face as it grows uncomfortably warm. Her eyes sting, threatening to spill the tears she knows she can't cry. Swallowing thickly, she whispers hoarsely, "I know."
"You will tell me what I want to know." He states it calmly, as a fact.
"No."
He doesn't so much as blink. Idly, he twirls his wand in his fingers. "You will."
She is honest. "I know."
"I'll leave. I'll be free of you."
He looks at her from the corner of his eye. He smiles mockingly. "I very much doubt that."
"You can't keep me here. At some point I'll either just disappear from existence entirely or-"
"I know," he cuts her off. As he turns away, she thinks he might be frowning, but a second later the expression is gone and she chooses to be believe it was her imagination.
"You dare question my reasoning?" He looms over her ominously. His eyes flash red and he pins her against the wall. He leans in close to say something else, but she doesn't hear it. All she knows is that he is surrounding her, suffocating her, drowning her. Suddenly she can't breathe. He seems to notice the shift in the atmosphere because he tenses, frozen in place.
Before either is fully aware of what's happening, they're kissing and it's hot and filled with passion. It's all biting, teeth scraping, warring for control. She tastes blood and it only makes her need this more, more, more. His hands grip her hips so hard she knows she'll bruise and she fists his jumper in one hand and his hair with the other because it isn't enough. She needs him closer, and yet also as far away from her as possible. She feels one of hands dance up her side, coming up to tangle itself if her hair.
"This doesn't change anything," she says, pulling away a little to catch her breath.
She can feel him smirking as he murmers against her mouth, "I know."
