Elise stared at the twinkling blue eyes of none other than Albus Dumbledore. The sparkle in his eyes were dull but still there as they waited for their third party to walk in. When the door opened, Elise jerked her head around and was met with the icy blue eyes of Theodore Nott.

Nott just scoffed at her and sat down in the chair next to her, inching it away from her as she had a disease. Dumbledore cleared his throat and started speaking, "Miss Bellarosa and Mr. Nott I have brought you here to discuss something important that only you two can do." Elise stared at him and opened her mouth to retort when Nott beat her to it. "Why can't Potter or one of his friends do it? Why us?"

Dumbledore smiled at him and leaned forward, "Lemon drops," he asked. Elise reached out and took one, immediately regretting it as the sweet stuck to her teeth, making it hard for her to unstick the sweet, let alone open her mouth. "The reason why I chose you, Mr. Nott and Miss Bellarosa, was because you will have to go back in time and make it so Tom Riddle does not find the founder's ring. The ring is actually a key that if put in the right crevice in the Chamber of Secrets, would bestow the finder the ring of time, the key to immortality and the mirror of fate –––" "Wait", exclaimed Elise, finally getting her mouth unstuck, "you didn't answer why specifically us Professor."

Dumbledore smiled and asked her a simple question "Do you know who Tom Riddle is?" Frowning, Elise shook her head not understanding what Tom Riddle had to do with anything. Sensing her confusion Dumbledore continued, "Tom Riddle was the young Voldemort. If I sent Harry back, I am afraid of instead of taking the founder's ring and returning back to the present, he would instead kill him, ruining the present as it is, risking a Darker wizard than Voldemort to rise. Also, he does not have the skills required to accomplish this mission." At this Nott raised his head up from his hands and asked, "What are those skills?"

Dumbledore got up and strode towards a door from his office and brought out two small, battered suitcases. He then opened one of them and took out a folder, duplicating it. He then stacked them on his desk and smiled. "From what I know both of you are talented Occlumens and Legilimens, speak fluent French, are purebloods and look somewhat alike. This would work well with your backstory, as you two would be posing as Beauxbaton transfers and as siblings. You have the ability to protect your minds and it requires even I, a lot of strength to look into your minds." Nott scoffed and looked over at Elise, "How do we even look alike? She looks like a blast ended skrewt." At this Elise opened her mouth to retort but Dumbledore cleared his throat and waved his hand. "I am to assume you both accept so let us get started." Nott nodded while Elise replied yes.

He then stood up and went first to Elise, he pointed his wand at her head and started muttering a spell and then a story. Then he repeated the same spell and story to Nott. The pair got up, dazed, and allowed Dumbledore to transfigure their robes into 40's muggle clothing, while giving them each a suitcase, folder and Elise a complicated looking necklace. "Now, I have locked away your memories from this time, and when the time is right, meaning you have found the ring and taken or hidden it, will you unlock those memories and the time turner allow you to return to the present. But you would not be able to leave without one another or without completing your task. Mr. Nott, you will be known as Mikhael Adrien Montfort and Miss Bellarosa, you as Mabelle Arielle Montfort. You both lost your parents in the war with Grindelwald, and because he has taken over France, you have transferred to Hogwarts. You will be staying at the same orphanage as Tom Riddle, and when you arrive you would get and owl from Hogwarts. You then would have a private Sorting and shortly after school would start. Befriend Tom Riddle, find the ring and return soon or your body will try to undo itself. Goodluck Miss Bellaros and Mr. Nott."

Elise and Nott both nodded, the dazed look still in their eyes. Dumbledore pinched the bridge of his nose and smiled, "Two turns shall do it Miss Bellarosa." Elise spun the time turner as told nad held on tightly to her small suitcase and folder. Nott held onto her harm and they landed in the same room, but instead of strange trinkets and warmness of Dumbledore's office, they were met by a lavishly decorated room with its shelves bare. As Elise and Nott brushed their clothing and sat down in the expensive chairs in front of the desk and waited.

A few minutes passed and a short, old man arrived and smiled at them. "Hello, I am the headmaster here, you can call me Headmaster Dippet. You are Mr. and Miss Montfort correct?", he asked he settled in his chair. Theodore nodded his head and smiled, his cobalt blue-green eyes crinkled a little at the edges. He leaned forward and shook the Headmaster's hand. "Yes, I am Mikhael Montfort and this is my younger sister, Mabelle." At being introduced, Elise raised her head and smiled a shy smile and looked back down, aware of the fact of her two different eye colors. Dippet seemed to notice that and asked her about that particular trait of hers. "My eyes are different because in my family it is a trait that females inherit from their parents. My mother had blue-green eyes like Mikhael does and my father had grey eyes." Dippet nodded and looked down at his desk, ruffling around and pulled out a letter.

"Well, I am sorry for your loss, but I assume that you know that you will be staying at Wool's Orphanage?" Both Nott and Elise nodded their heads. "Then I don't see why we can't sort you into your respective houses. Miss Montfort, as grades as good as yours you are most likely to become a Prefect. Mr. Montfort, since you will be starting your 6th year, this position is not available." Nott nodded, a slight frown pulling on his lips. Dippet smiled and started telling about the four Hogwarts Houses and then he took out a hat. The hat looked old and dirty with patches near the brim. Elise wrinkled her nose but before she could ask about the hat, it was placed on her head.

"Ah, a fresh new mind," the hat crooned. "Such loyalty to her family and love towards her brother." Elise was startled to say the least and started firing off questions. "How do you work? Who created you? What type of magic was used on you? Why a sorting hat instead of a spell or such? Can you read my mind?" The hat sighed and yelled out Ravenclaw. Elise took off the hat and handed it to Nott.

The hat took longer on Nott and after what felt like forever, announced that he was going to be in Slytherin. Headmaster Dippet congratulated them and sent them on their way to Hogsmead, where they were supposed to meet a Dumbledore so they could apparate to the orphanage.

After many confusing twists and turns, Elise and Nott reached Dumbledore, who smiled at them and lead them near a book store and apparated them to the orphanage. Dumbledore then started walking towards a dark, intimidating building and started speaking to them. "This is a Muggle orphanage, so remember no magic. There is another student of Hogwarts at this orphanage named Tom Riddle, so if you have any questions about where or when your letter is going to come or where to buy your materials you can ask him. Well, since we are here just enter and ask for a Mrs. Cole. I shall see you when the year starts. It was nice to meet you Mr. and Miss Montfort."

Elise and Nott smiled at Dumbledore and then Nott pushed open the door, holding it so Elise could slip through. The inside of the orphanage was warm, more warm than necessary as most of the orphans were sitting away from each other as much as they could and fanning their faces with pieces of paper. One of the girls noticed them and ran away, yelling for a Mrs. Cole. Mrs. Cole came in and her appearance swept away all of Elise's fear of the orphanage together, creating a large pile of it.

Mrs. Cole was a tall woman, with her dark hair falling out of her bun. She had kind hazel eyes though her mouth was downturned in a frown. She held a child in her arms, rocking it and looked up when Nott cleared his throat. She smiled a tight-lipped smile that did not meet her eyes and waved them to follow her with her free hand.

Elise and Nott followed her, ignoring the stares and whispers of the orphans. Mrs. Cole set the child down in its cot and swept away quickly to what seemed like her office. She sat down, introduced herself and retold their "life" story to them. When happy that she had those facts down she looked at them. "You are going to go to the same school as Tom, correct?" Nott nodded and opened his mouth to explain but Mrs. Cole cut him off with the wave of her hand. Nott glowered and looked sideways at Elise, who just pursed her lips and clenched her fists at the dismissive attitude of the woman. "Well Mr. and Miss Montfort, then it would only make sense if you stayed close by him. Lucky for you there are about three rooms across from Tom's that are not occupied. Mr. Montfort, you can have the room across from Tom's and Miss Montfort you can have the one on the right of your brother's. Come with me and I shall show you where your rooms will be."

Elise and Nott clambered to their feet and started following Mrs. Cole. They went up a flight of stairs and took a left. They stopped by at their rooms to drop off their belongings and then they Turned to a door, two doors away from the left turn and she turned to address Elise, "Miss Montfort, if you know how to take care of infants than you shall help me starting tomorrow at 10 o'clock in the morning. If not then learn quickly." Mrs. Cole then turned towards the door and knocked. "Tom," she called. "Come in Mrs. Cole," a voice answered. Mrs. Cole turned the door knob and a boy with dark, perfectly parted hair looked up. He wore a pair of black slacks and a white button down. He had dark eyes that almost looked black.

The boy seemed confused to see Elise and Nott behind Mrs. Cole and while Mrs. Cole explained their situation to the boy, he kept on flickering his gaze between Mrs. Cole, Elise and Nott. "Well, I hope that you three can quickly become acquaintances and maybe you can show them around Tom. I have to go, it's almost time for Muriel to wake up from her nap." Mrs. Cole dropped her voice to a whisper and spoke to Elise, "If he does something to scare you tell me. Most children are not the same after spending time with him." After that Mrs. Cole left, in a whirl of rose scented perfume and a dark, floor length, skirt. The door shut with a resounding slam, leaving Elise and Nott alone with a boy that Mrs. Cole practically claimed to be dangerous.

Great.
